But did he? Is there footage of this? In the Worst they said it happened in the second qtr. I watched the second qtr and didn’t see it but heard a commentator say he was felled off the ball and saw him driven into the ground face first and Bright gave him afters pushing his snout further into the ground.
Got to be careful what you alledge unless you have seen it. Did he do it accidentally and say sorry and attempt to wipe it off? I think that’s entirely feasible.
The word I got was that Brennan stormed into the swan’s box, said his piece, then was told by one of the swan’s assistants what he can do followed by the door being slammed on him. Ambulance detail is news to me. Champion I’m told did a bushman’s blow on to Bright
Not sure how you found out Mike, but I googled Malakai Champion cleared to play,…,.
I didn’t get past the paywall, but I found a small snippet that somehow slipped out that said he was “found not guilty, due to inconclusive evidence!”
That’s interesting. So if the favour is returned on an Eagles player, what’s the spin on that?1st of all by the Eagles’ Tribunal/MRP Rep,then by the Tribunal/MRP Chair?
And where does that leave the Umpire who reported him?
TV Evidence?Even with 7+ or a minor Broadcaster, nothing came of any footage?Or did any relevant footage suddenly disappear?
Many more questions than answers out of this.
I can understand Champion’s frustrations with his protagonist, saying he was extremely provoked. That should lessen a Severe Penalty that may have seemed unfair down to a couple of weeks.
But now I’m trying to figure out if an Umpire’s Report carries much weight on something serious like this,if the Chair is simply going to throw out his or her Report.
So Swans Supporters, have you picked yourselves up off the floor yet after last night?
Has that complaint about that Out of Order Eagles Assistant Coach, been satisfactorily dealt with?
And what about the Umpires last night?Their witnessing of one angle the previous Saturday was good enough at the MRP I presume, but "Insufficient"last night?
Seb Bright gave evidence too so I assume he might have respected the player code and said there wasn’t much in it. In the absence of video evidence I can understand the tribunals decision. As for the coaches box incident, that seems to have disappeared into the void. Maybe the two clubs sorted it out.
Was 7+'s Camera Miles away, looking at Jumbos nearby, whilst a Major Barney was taking place?
Was any such footage suddenly lost?
Lucky it wasn’t a scratch match,or any footage required would go missing. Now where did that happen before?
Bright might have done the right thing. Was that reciprocatied where it mattered in Tuart Hill?
And gee whiz, you’d hope that Eagles Coach would be good enough to Apologise to Everyone in that Swans Booth for that Ridiculous Outburst,to save himself a Sanction at the Tribunal/MRP.
