Might be handy if the Football Commission keeps us up to speed on WAFLTribunal/Match Review Panels this Season.
As good as it is John Townsend informs the WAFL World audience on Monday Nights, you’d hate to think there was any secrecy still, which you get the impression there is,when John has to dig it up.
And another thing,…..if an AFL Listed players clearly transgresses on the field in the WAFL,CLEARLY REPORT them, like everyone else,so we can all see the Process and not have it buried in a non reporting manner by the WA Football Media, particularly outside SPORT FM!

One thing that should stop is the BS “making contact with an Umpire”farce, where players don’t even know they were on report until they were told on Radio,by their Club or someone else, allowed them an early Guilty plea, reducing the penalty down to a Reprimand, where again they didn’t know.
Jonah Brooks was one such example as was his opponent that day.Guess who that was,………
So the players must have been wrestling in a melee,Umpires come in to try and split them up and come in to contact with the players, oblivious to their presence, whilst they blow off steam.
Lord knows when the Report Book came out, because it seemed like a raft of players were Reported on the same charge.
We all know Umpires should be respected and not to be touched, until maybe a handshake is acceptable after the Final Siren.
But for Heaven’s Sake WAFC,apply the Rule in a proper context’Heaven forbid players do a Phil Carman or a John Bourke, but that’s when you Report Players for Striking an Umpire!
Heard on Monday,we won’t know which player was the one hit or otherwise by the Reported player, which apart from Dumbing this process down in John Townsend’s eyes,is Absolute BULLSH*T and is strong indication, the Football Commission want to try and keep the whole process HUSHED!
Footy fans should counter that by loudly yelling “Reporddimm!”as footy fans do,gawd love ‘em,then react loudly according to the Umpire’s action,THROUGHOUT THE SEASON!
If the Umps are inclined to Report a Player,DO SO PUBLICLY so we Know, who is clearly up for an appointment Monday or Tuesday Night and in the process, who the poor blighter is,offended against.
If a Report is not in the offing, especially if it is CLEAR AS MUD there should be,then out come the Boos in the process. That’s not what we really want to hear, but if that’s what it takes to keep the Reporting/Tribunal/MRP Process in the Public Eye,so be it!
The message to the Football Commission would be CRYSTAL CLEAR!
Do NOT Under Any Circumstances, make an important part of WAFL Footy a Big Secret!
