Return home for the Foundation Day derby against Old Easts
Lose a suspended Matt Parker and the relegated Harvey who’s done a good job for such a raw young lad in trying circumstances all year I will mention.
But the flipside is that key forward Trey Ruscoe and ruckman West Love both return to bolster the spine - we got done in the ruck and key positions last week so these are good inclusions
Could still be wet and slippery in fact pretty much expected to be
The Southerners can’t afford to take this match lightly, even if they are favoured. Apparently paying 1$ 15c for the win, whilst East Fremantle currently sitting on over five dollars. And with the too much rain that fell on Saturday and yesterday, the grounds will be slippery.
The final score of the 2 concluded matches from Saturday were close. Would be good if the final score from todays remaining games were not a blowout.
Had similar scoring shots but been inaccurate and butchered the ball going into your forward line several times but skill execution is your coaches fault?
Premiers last year, sitting 2nd this season and you’re slagging your coach off yet again…
I reckon most clubs supporters would be happy to have a coach who has delivered them a flag and will play finals again this season
Crikey. Sharks knock off bulldogs, falcons currently doing royals, swans overrun demons and tigers just sneak home against lions. I think it’s been a long long time since we had such a tightly fought competition at this stage of the season. It’s great to see.
EF got lucky with Parker out and SF injuries….yeah agree Anchor…..the umps weren’t overly keen giving EF a free kick today…..good for the comp all the results this round ….keeps things interesting and everybody on their toes.
Really? He coached them to a flag in 2025 losing only 1 game and his win loss ratio as a coach is still over 90%. You just don’t do that by being lucky. Sure they were totally outplayed today because the Sharks worked harder and wanted it more, but those things happen in footy and I’m sure they will rebound.
A very disappointing derby by South today, showed very little of the passion required for the fixture unlike EFFC who appeared more desperate and hungry pretty much throughout the game, they also looked superior skill wise.
Their mids really made ours look disinterested at times, I know we had some big outs but there was no excuse for the lack of hunger.
Five goals till 3/4 time in what turned out to be very good conditions, poor return.
I think my prediction for SFFC 2026 performance might be coming to the level now as things get a bit tougher.
Some very interesting results of late suggest that the comp is alive and well with nothing certain.
The final score in this match, along with West Perth winning, Swans surprising win and Subiaco falling short by the narrowest of margins has made the competition interesting. Would have thrown a spanner in the works of the tipsters out there. The midde of the league ladder is looking very interesting.
