Travel to VFL2’s ground in what will be difficult given the amount of VFL’ers that will play despite not being listed at all
We regain our elite Matt Parker and Colborne comes in to pinch hit in the ruck and go forward
Some good topline players about to come back via the reserves imminently - Russell this week as one of those
Weather forecast is sounding good for game day. Supposedly with a daytime temperature of 19⁰ with light winds around the various grounds.
Matty Parker looks to have had that darn hammy of his, eased back into action. So that’s a BIG IN for South, whilst Peel,…or rather Fremantle have rung about 5 or 6 changes to this week’s team.
We were outplayed today by their VFL’ers
they had around 75% of our total touches by themselves
and that goes back to how things were set up
the final margin flatters because it really was comprehensive
there has to be a change to this constant selection of under-performers
Byron , Bourne , and a couple of others have to be dropped now today was proof
some worrying stuff today it was really poor
Can someone please, please advise if i’m hearing things. Heard on the grapevine the attendance for this match is said to be 280.
I could believe a crowd figure of 1280 or 2800.
Surely to bloody god, the attendance being more than 280 for christ sake!
Sad to say, the Waf is a bit of an embarrassment nowadays.
This morning’s paper says “äbout 2000.”
What grapevine was that?
On the times I Visit,There’s usually a good crowd on the Inside, when you walk past the President’s Lunch.
That’s about 150 and upwards by itself.Add a couple hundred more for any Colts game, then a slow buildup like anywhere, until folk start rolling up just for the League Game, except on a lousy day…
You might expect as low as 280 for a West Coast Home Game, when about 100 eagles(tops)rock up,but not many more outside of that show up on top, especially Claremont and Subi.
Reckon there was more than 675 when Swans were there earlier this Season.Pig Pen was full of Swannies supporters knocking over a few cold ones and a good sprinkling of footy fans in the President’s Lounge(out front)and in the sun.
And there’s NO Function I know of,the Eagles hold in even their Cafeteria area overlooking Lathlain. If there is,their Cheer Squad of about 20,should be the first ones invited and Spoilt Rotten.
Gets back though to the excess of Eagles and Dockers Members who can’t get into an AFL Game, don’t necessarily have PFL or other Footballl commitments elsewhere, yet won’t go and watch a WAFL Game to support either their Reserve or aligned Team,or their old WAFL Club, particularly on Fine Days, which granted,it won’t be this Saturday.
Grandstands still exist for cover if that helps,…
It was around the 2180 mark from accounts
the WAFL gets next to zero help from the West Australian to promote the grassroot - and considering that awful modern day version rag only exists in relevance due to historic WANFL reporting , it’s just not acceptable
those wipes froth over this child Harley Reid 24 hours a day (that borders on manifestational sickness) and post articles 5 to 1 ratio for the WCE on Gary Stocks’ behest - but regardless their top 3 are unashamed WCE supporters with no dignity and you only have to read the paper front to see that every single day
And when they do stoop it’s purely to bleat more shite about the VFL and not the WAFL
