Wonder what happened to the blue and whites? Did they just have a bad hair day? Had a look at the online score upon returning home and the Southerners obviously played the conditions better. Souths would have a larger winning margin had they kicked straighter from 31 scoring shots for 10 goals. South Fremantle heading in the right direction.

and again today they kicked it to dangerous places and again this is what happens
and I had serious concerns about the game
but it was evident early we were in the process of monstering them
can’t complain about so many behinds
it was the conditions
we would have annihilated them on any other day
keeping Leggett & Marsh to nothing and Murdock pretty quiet really helped things
but everything comes at some price - Main & Jones hurt early

Someone better check betting agencies in round 5. Eagles would have been at massive long odds against SF. How the hell they lost to the WCER in round 5 is a mystery.
The Sharks were never in it right from the start. No excuses, we were flogged by a very good side.
Losing Blakiston obviously hurt your side like when we lost Schlensog against you. Makes a big difference.

10.21 could be improved but to win by 54 pts in the rain against the filth was very pleasing indeed.
Over the past 2 weeks we have kicked 28.35, both games in the rain which is a massive effort and on the other end of it kept Subi and EF combined to 6.10.
Ressies winning by 80 pts was brilliant too. Colts lost a close win but still remain on top.
Really impressed with the commitment to the ball by everyone over the last few games. The pressure around the ball has been immense. Nearly at the half way mark and we have given ourselves a steady platform.

Well done SF too (and EF I imagine) for getting a game day sponsor in RAC and promoting that. Thought the Ch 7 Derby pre-show was awesome as well being love in the SF rooms with special guests (way too may EF people though in our in sanctum) and the highlights from derbies gone past.
Great crowd too all things considered. Members was packed as I’ve never seen for a long time. Thank god there was no reason for a quick evacuation as things would have gone terribly.

Our top liners were brilliant yesterday and I’m hoping the few I have concerns over pay close attention to what it takes and how to do it
Shame Main and Jones went down early and hoping it’s nothing too serious
But we are 8 rounds in and we have good players to come in yet and some still to be given opportunities
Was away for the long weekend so didnt make it to the game but got back in time to watch most of it on TVW 7 coverage which was excellent.
In the end a total demolition of what was supposed to be the best team in the comp. Not sure if it was the conditions they failed to adapt or just the pressure, seemed to be well off the pace generally, but we kept them in the game with a huge amount of inaccurate kicking until the dogs came home and hit targets in the end blowing them out of the water.
Strom had a day out.
Pity about the conditions kept the crowd well down and the outter area was largely empty save for the shelter.
Flicked across and watched the last bit of the EP v WP game the attendance there was pretty bad, however wow… the new lights there make the broadcast quality outstanding.
Heard the attendance being 4 and ½ thousand. Given the weather conditions, that is a good turnout. Had the weather been better, maybe 5 to 8 thou would have been at the ground?
I reckon would have been up towards 8k in ideal conditions Westaussie.

I wonder how that would have gone at EF Oval as there is very limited cover at the ground.
Need to agree with the first sentence baz. The next derby is i think the first week of August?Given the weather is still not the best at that time, would be great to surpass at least 5 thousand.
