2025 NFL Season

Loved the America’s Game and A Football Life NFL Doco’s.

Joe wasn’t part of the former, but did contribute to Bill’s story.

I very much liked the contributions of Randy(Cross),Dwight,Ronnie,Dwight(Hicks),Russ and Keena about our 1st 2 Super Bowls.

I started following us from '85,whilst da Bears were having a Season for the Ages, after we gave the rising apprentices a look in the right direction, blanking them in the '84 NFC Championship.

Then of course Bill’s Life, particularly at the Bengals, heading to Stanford Uni,before Ed di Bartolo got him to the 9ers.

It wasn’t easy to start with, leading Bill to wonder if he was up to it.Perhaps we can thank Eagles Coach Dick Vermeil, for keeping Bill going off the deep end.

Of course,Bill had his moments in the mid 80’s,when we got bowled over 3 years running,in our 1st game of the Play - Offs, then after a demotion upstairs to focus properly on his Coaching,we had the Quarterback Controversy, which had Bill alternating between Joe and Steve(Young).

Thankfully Mike Holmgren amongst the Coaching Staff,Told Bill to pick between the 2,amongst other Dramas.

We were 6 - 5 at the time, but apart from one little slip,we never looked back that year, giving Bill his 3rd Lombardi Trophy Triumph upon his Well earnt Retirement.

Divisional Round Play-Offs head West on Saturday(Sunday morning for us)to start the Weekend.

Buffalo Bills travel to AFC Top Seeds Denver Broncos,to kick off the action, whilst San Francisco heads North up to Washington State to settle old scores against Seattle,in the NFC.

Then on Sunday Night(Monday Morning),the LA Rams go from Charlotte to Chicago,to take on the Bears, the Freezing Cold and if Bears fans have fun memories of 1985,the Grabowski’s as well.

Will former winning Bears Super Bowl coach Mike Ditka get quizzed on that one? That remains to be seen.

Then Houston boosted by an almighty Win over the Steelers, travel to Massachusetts to take on the instantly revived New England Patriots, who haven’t really suffered a long period out of the limelight, since Tom Brady’s departure.

Did the Patriots benefit from a soft AFC draw in the main? I guess we’ll know Monday morning when they’re offense take on the stingy Texans defense.

Tips - Bills,49ers,Bears,Texans.

Bills 30 - 33 Broncos OT
49ers 6 - 41 Seahawks
Texans 16 - 28 Patriots
Rams 20 - 17 Bears OT

Ouch!

0 Tips :open_mouth:

At least 2 of those were Quarterback letdowns.

:persevering_face::roll_eyes:
What a Disastrous Effort by the Niners!

Could be some savage repercussions out of that!

That was bloody hard to watch.
Injuries finally caught up with the niners.:frowning:

Certainly doesn’t help, but everything that could have gone wrong, did!

Championship Games for the 2 conferences, tomorrow morning.

AFC
New England Patriots(2) v (1)Denver Broncos
Denver 4AM(1.00PM Mountain Time)

NFC
Los Angeles Rams(5) v (1)Seattle Seahawks
Seattle 7.30AM(3.30PM Pacific Time).

Tips(after 0 last week)
Broncos
Seahawks

Will be tough for the Broncos without Number 1 Quarterback Bo Nix,but they shoukd sneak past the Patriots.

Rams’ Quarterback Mathew Stafford holds the key to the NFC Championship against the Seahawks.

If he gets his game going, the Rams will be hard to stop.If Seattle’s defensive team gets to him,it could get ugly for the visitors.

I’m tipping the latter will happen.

Newsflash -

It’s a Seahawks v Patriots Super Bowl on Sunday February 8 at Santa Clara,California at 3.30PM(Pacific Time).

Monday February 9,7.30AM Our Time.

and the orange clown isnt going because his feelings will be hurt with all the booing and the half time show features Bad Bunny and Greenday who are probably going to lampoon him as well. Then again he may send in his ICE thugs to break it all up and shoot a few random people.

You’d like to think he isn’t going out of embarrassment
,because his Home Town Team/s are Shit.

At least Reagan made his appreciation of the game known, whether he was there or not.I know he was a fan of the Redskins and Ricky Sanders, presumably a Wide Receiver.

But hey, nice pass by the then President,on the White House Lawn.

The newly released documentary, The Rise of the 49ers is now available to watch on 7plus…for those that are interested.

I almost hope the Late John Facenda Narrated this.

Tom Brady?

Growing up as a 49ers fan I think Brady was a good choice.

Ok.

Seems like Jacob Landsmeer got wind of that Date, but I guess we’ll wait and see.

Makes sense to have it on that day and time doesn’t it.
Prime time into the US and gives both teams more recovery time.

I’ll follow your lead on that, though I am ALWAYS CYNICAL of TV Network Dictates.

On a different note, did you see A Football Life just then?

From him, came one Bill Walsh on his Coaching Tree, assuming he had one.

No I didn’t.
It was really interesting seeing Bill Walsh’s story,pre-49ers,on The Rise of the 49ers last night.
He was a genius.

I’m sure it would have featured his old Boss in Cleveland.

Yeah It was his former head coach at the Bengals Paul Brown who bad mouthed Walsh when other clubs were interested in him.Sounded like a bit of jealousy from an old style coach
towards Walsh and his new west coast offense.
