Home for a quite important fixture against East Perth - and there’s a couple of surprises in the selections as well for this one
interesting to see how both sides go in the wet conditions. Could turn into a battle of attrition
Im going into this one guarded, East Perth have matched up on us well in recent clashes, and after 50 plus years of SF finals campaigns I know what its like to go in faves and come out empty handed.
Looking forward to a great day at the club regardless and lets hope a decent crowd get along… rain on the way might clear early.
Should be 5 or 6000 there unless it’s pissing down. Allowed to bring your brolly to the WAFL. I think nearly 4000 at Joondalup in the first semi between Perth and WP in that COVID affected season. It was 14° and rained heavy all day.
Advice to Perth supporters, buy your tickets online at Intix. If a 5-6000 crowd turns up at Revo stadium I doubt it has the capacity.
Im expecting 3-4000 at Fremantle Oval. The Problem you have is the Dockers are on the same day, and all the hype in town wipes out Souths profile. People wont go to two games on one day.
crushed East Perth today
even the wet couldn’t slow the relentless charge
Free was just superb and beat Jones
and then snagged 2 goals
Winder Florenca Ruscoe brilliant
defence miserly to the point of suffocation
this is all for Dardy , Campo , Eils , Turkey & Toddy
I’m led to believe South Fremantle paid 1$ and 55c for the win. And East Perth were sitting on two dollars 60. One would have expected a much closer encounter.
Year of the dog. Woof Woof as dogman would say.
Way too good. Tough conditions. After last week, today was a tough day at the footy in different ways.
Unfortunately, South were far too good today and the engraver may as well make an early start working on the premiership cup.
Alas, my beloved East Perth hardly fired a shot.
At quarter-time, having restricted the Bulldogs to just two goals kicking with a solid breeze, I was actually optimistic of a strong showing by the blue-and-blacks.
How foolish I was to allow such thoughts to enter my mind.
Well booked a place in the GF in fine style.
Tough conditions didn’t hold back some pretty good scoring.
Week off and time to prepare for Optus which is not a great venue for us.
Piss poor turn out in the members, despite the rain people giving preference to the purple peanuts over WAFL clearly.
Never seen Stoney so pissed off at qtr time. Ripped into some midfielders who didn’t adhere to the rotations and told someone spectator too close to a huddle to fuck off.
Too fumbly don’t think anyone has taken a mark within range up forward. Need a big lift there. Fleiner the late in actually playing well apart from missing an opportunity to goal.
Undisciplined by Schlenga to give away 50 resulting in a goal and he is having dirty day like a lot of others. Hopefully Jaquesy is ok to resume in the second half.
How many ales in were you, when you wrote that R&B?..wrong thread me thinks.
Did it seem incoherent? Yes oops wrong thread glad it made a couple of people happy. Simple pleasures.
No pleasure what so ever mate…just found it interesting with you being a previous Footy forum administrator…but hey a few ales inside us, does make us ever so human at times.
Well I won’t get my nickers in a twist if the new admin shift my post to the correct topic but not sure that’s necessary.
Let’s just say a problem shared is a problem halved mate…no matter where it’s shared.
