Well, looks like they threw dates & venues into the air to see what landed. I despise WAFL League games at 10am & 11am. Denigrating. Some of the alternate days & times are probably worth trying and if promoted may be ok. But playing at 1000 to pander to the AFL & Ch 7 is a joke.
And April 7 - Subi v Peel at Penanet…? A misprint?
Think the proof reader needed to do more of a check Frothy. In round 13, Swans are listed to play absolutely nobody at Steel Blue Oval. Oh well that will be an easy 4 points (-:
On another note, the Sharks won’t be playing any games at the WACA and will instead play away from home for the first six rounds before the big return to Shark Park on the 11th May. Hopefully it will be OK for the move in and there are no delays. There is also a general bye on the 18th May so I assume an interstate game will be slotted in there

i think it will be West Coast and depending on injuries it could be very easy.
great chunks of it appear amateur and a fair bit compromised
the omissions , potential gaffes and gaps are either newspaper fuck ups or just plain vague
incredibly highly paid monkeys
Disappointed in the lack of a Good Friday fixture - it’s been a great day at Leederville Oval the last few years.
The early West Coast home games are just rude.
Swans celebrate their 90th birthday on the 28th April when they play East Fremantle, which was their first game in 1934.
76 out of the 90 games are on Saturday, doesn’t seem to be as many Sunday games as in previous years?

Only reason they started it was because it was an AFL free day . Now its full of AFL and other stuff so no point, crowds have fallen since, good move I reckon there are 4 days to spread it over.
not happy jan, why buy a membership with only four afternoon home games. i try and get to the home games as much as i can, depends on the work roster, i wont be going to the night games. night games at joondalup dont work, its been tried before and it failed. this a bad decision by the club and it will impact the clubs bottom line.

Its your choice not to go to the night games.
When did they try them before?
I thought this was a first time due to better quaility lights?
[quote=“Cesspit post=232982 userid=1215”]They have had night games up there before. I remember going to a WP v P game on a Saturday night about 1998 / 99.

Yep spot on Cess, even as recent as around 2008ish SD played WP up there on a Friday night.
The Colts have had quite a few encounters underlights at Joondalup Arena as well that I have watched.
Typical of The West and those others who believe their daily tripe it is not a new concept at all, but it will be better standard lights up there now I believe!
Have Leederville Oval lights been upgraded? I haven’t been to a night game there for a few years but I remember them being pretty bad.
Hopefully Perth FC, the WCE and the TOVP have listened to my feedback and complaints about the Mineral Resources Park scoreboard about how ridiculously bright at night it is and you can’t see shit on the scoreboard on the TV or streaming service. I have also told Streamer. Fix it you lazy sods. You must be idiots if you can’t see it is ridiculously too bright.

The new lights at Pentanet will have the same lumen capacity as Optus, designed for tv broadcasts. I know two members that may not pay membership for the 2024 season because night games impede on their personnel circumstances. Joondalup is not a Fremantle or a Leederville and I believe there will be a fall in turnover thus a fall in profit.
