Westside Winners Round 4 - 2026 And the Season

11 from 13 and one of the wrong tips involved the Demon Colts.

Oops!

Very happy for the boys though!

Westside Winners Round 13

West Coast v East Fremantle
West Coast’s administrators put me in a bad mood this week.Whilst their 19 should adjust to non windy conditions,b*gger 'em!Go Sharks!
PS - If I go,it’ll be after Half Time for FREE!
OLD EASTS by 15 points.

Peel Thunder v Claremont
Without Rogers coming back for Claremont, going to be tough for the Tigers.Fremantle’s Reserves unfortunately!
peelmantle by 27 points

South Fremantle v Subiaco
Basil’s Bulldogs will be snarly, after Doug’s Demons regally pulled down their doggie pants in one good blitz. They’ll snap that magic wand of Subi’s easy!
BULLDOGS by 45 points.

East Perth v Perth
Royals had a win for the ages last week, but was it their Grand Ffinal?A day’s rest on Perth could bring them right into the contest. But expect a focused Demons to get the job done,…only just.
DEMONS by 9 points

West Perth v Swan Districts
Even with their own mediocre Season, you’d think Swans by how far against a desperate opponent on it’s knees. However, losing here is a potential Coach Killer,…except in this case.
SWANS by 57 points.

Colts - Tigers,Bulldogs,Demons,Falcons
Ressies - Tigers,Bulldogs,Demons,Swans.

3 from 5 last week,9 from 13 in all Grades.Not bad.

Round 14

Claremont v South Fremantle
It’s a battle of the Fadeouts from Round 13,after both went downhill after establishing healthy leads.Claremont INEXPLICABLY COUGHED UP 4 Premiership Points,…I won’t mention the implement that applies to foot herd.South COUGHED UP Valuable Percentage, letting an otherwise ordinary Lions outfit on the day, right back in it.
It will be Won in the Ruck with Eastland potentially taking on Colbourne rather than Free, who might be going through his own phase of being"managed".Rogers’ return will steady the Tiger Ship and stave off the Bulldogs at Home.
TIGERS by 13 points.

Swan Districts v East Perth
Whilst the SWANS’ form has been Fair of late,it’s a step up in Grade this week against a Team finally hoping to go 1 step further and I can’t see the old Black Ducks stopping that process.
Hope I’m wrong,but I WON’T be here!
ROYALS by 39 points

East Fremantle v Peel Thunder
Even at Home,it’s going to be one hell of a task for an East Fremantle side, who can’t fire a cracker, nor take a trick of late, with quality act Tom Joyce not playing this week.
Must hurt like hell that a Grandson of an Old Easts 2 Time Premiership Player and Red Hot Sandover Medal Favourite,is running riot for Peel, instead of them and coming back into Thunder’s Team with Tui’a for good measure.
Hope the Blue and Whites defy the odds here, but I won’t hold my breath for this miracle.
THUNDER by 27 points.

West Coast v Perth
This game once fixtured for Saturday Arvo,is now on Sunday after Lunchtime, when the Eagles faithfull will be tucking into Mum’s Sunday Roast Lamb in front of the 'ole Telly on a crystal clear day.
Will they Stack their Team again?Bit hard with 2 less from last week, but they’ll come after Perth anyway,if Kyal Horsely has anything to do with it.
MUST WIN GAME for the Demons though and I’m sure Mark Stone will be impressing on the players for Maximum Intensity after a disappointing showing against East Perth!
DEMONS by 21 points.

Colts - Tigers,Swans,Sharks
Reserves - Tigers,Swans,Sharks(going for a right boilover here).

PS - 2 from 4 League,6 from 10 All 3 Grades.

Given the fact East Fremantle played friday and had last weekend orf, they will be as fresh as a daisy day. Chalk in a Sharks win this week.

Swans to push east perth .until the last quarter when east perth pull away. Ep by 24 points

Yes that sounds correct. Currently Swans have kicked a total of 35 first quarter goals. Scored a total of 33 goals in the second quarter. Whereas the Royals have totals of 30 Qtr 1 goals and 27 goals from quarter 2. In the third and final terms is where Swans fall away. Currently having totals of 28 goals for the third quarter and 29 for the final term

Whilst East Perth totals are 42 goals in Qtr 3 and 34 goals on the board in the final term.

In the words of 12th Man Richie’s Cab Diver(Theo?),“Well,I hope so mate!”

Westside Winners Round 16

Perth(Boorloo) v East fremantle
What seems like a comfortable Victory for the Demins, won’t come as easily as we think.Sharks to throw everything into this one,but the Home Team should still have too much Firepower.
DEMONS by 27 points.

Subiaco v West Perth
Aaron Black’s 1st occasion as a 300 Game player should lift the Cardies players to greater heights and I sense an upset here.Might not be enough though,…
LIONS by 9 points.

South Fremantle v Swan Districts
Good form by both Teams last week, makes for a good game here.Swans could stretch South’s defence, but I think the Doggies have a bit too much edge in class and should .prevail.
BULLDOGS by 15 points.

Colts - East Fremantle,West Perth and South Fremantle.
Reserves - Perth,West Perth and Swan Districts.

Not bad.

3 from 3 League wise and 8 out of 9 for the lot,…ok.

Westside Winners Round 16

East Perth v Claremont
Big 8 point ball game here, potentially deciding where each Club is headed by 5PM tomorrow afternoon.A little more desperation and a touch of the 'ole Luck of the Johm Hayes Irish, should see the Black and Blues home.
ROYALS by 6 points.

Peel Thunder v Subiaco
Will the return of Sean Darcy lead the way for Thunder,or will Jarrad Schofield find a way to stop him?Vital outs for the Lions might leave them a tad short?
THUNDER by 15 points.

West Perth v West Coast
Despite a great effort from the Red and The Blue last week, did they spend all their petrol tickets?I’ll back them in to follow that up and knock the eagles reserves, getting a bit thinner in personelle.
CARDIES by 27 points

Colts - Tigers,Lions.
Ressies - Royals,Thunder.

Westside Winners Round 17
Swan Districts v Peel
The Black Ducks will give this a right crack as always, but method and key personnel may fall a tad short. Will Bright put a Hard Tag on Sharp?Watch some sparks fly!
THUNDER by 9 points

Claremont v West Perth
Cardies have been close in the past 2 weeks, but will a 3rd almighty effort result in eventual triumph or heartbroken Loss.Tigers delivered a clutch performance last week and won’t fail to follow up.
TIGERS by 33 points

Subiaco v Perth
Game of the Round.Subi will throw more than 1 kitchen sink at the Demons this time. But it won’t be enough to stop a Demons unit looking to consolidate a Top 3 Spot.
DEMONS by 21 points

East Fremantle v East Perth
Battle of the walking wounded and frustration in both camps. This one’s a tough one.A Sharks Win would not surprise me and the Royals need to produce one for the Ages to pull this one off.
ROYALS by 6 points.

West Coast v South Fremantle
The eagles are feeling a little bit smug over last week.Should be more a feeling of relief after getting past the bottom team. They will NOT get the same satisfaction against a better unit this week.
BULLDOGS by 39 points.

Colts - Swans,Tigers,Lions,Sharks
Reserves - Swans,Falcons,Demons,Royals.

PS - 3 from 5,9 out of 13.

Very Silly Me,thinking South were going to PUMP the eagles,…

Must be a more RED FACES at the Port than a session with Red Symons.

Funny,we had no trouble with 'em.

:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

So eagles,…are you going to STACK your Ressies Team from now on?

Well they only took one emergency to Melbourne this week so…

They only had 11 “Eagles” when Perth played them their lowest by far all year.

They are a different proposition when they have 16+

I expect them to stack their side for the remaining three matches to make as many players available as possible.

Nah,unlike yesterday,we would have taken 'em!

Quieten down you!I’m having fun 'ere,…

They’ve definitely been our bunnies this year kicking 153 to 88 in round 1 and 120 to 58 in round 14. They had 13 AFL Eagles in round 1 including Bailey Williams who had a big day that went a long way to propelling him into the senior side. 11 posessions, 2 goals and 34 hit outs. Bazzo and a few others getting regular AFL games now.

I wonder what the Eagles reserves could look like if they snuck in. Have the two mid season guns played enough to qualify? Francou has played 4 WAFL games but out injured at the moment but will come back and Herbert only played 2 and won’t be adding to that.

They are Peel’s Bunnies as well and there’s an atrocious drop off from Peel, next time they play…

Westside Winners Round 18

Perth v Peel Thunder
A Team facing a Must Win game to still contend for Top 3 v the Top Team in Cruise mode, winning 11 straight.A close one,but I’m leaning the Home Team’s way in a nice oldfashioned wet weather scrap.
DEMONS by 9 Points.

Subiaco v West Coast
Lions to Win a Must Win Game in The Club’s 2 500th Game, backing up the Captain’s Claim they Don’t go with rebuilds.A Loss here could mean a 3rd year of a rebuild.
LIONS by 15 points.

South Fremantle v East Perth
The two grand final combatants for 26, find themselves in a joint pickle here. The best they could manage possibly is 5th and one misses out altogether. Then again, they could meet again in three weeks time.
BULLDOGS by 6 Points.

Swan Districts v Claremont
Seems to be a familiar story for Swans in '26.A Plucky Team giving it’s all against slightly better, more skilful, fitter opposition. I don’t expect that story to change today, despite Swannies proving to be the bane of the Tigers.
TIGERS by 21 Points.

West Perth v East Fremantle
This could go either way,but not because they are Top Teams. If the Cardies reckon they are close to a Win,today’s the day.
CARDINALS by 15 Points.

Colts - Demons,Bulldogs,Tigers,Sharks.
Ressies - Demons,Royals,Swans,Falcons.
