There has been talk of the west coast finishing top two and premiership favorites
dont worry about top two or top four, they way they played today top eight could
be beyond them, and yes I am an eagles supporter.

You can forget a top 2 finish , which means you can forget a GF , top 4 is dodgy , but they will get a top. 8 spot, port will knock them off next week, they will just make up the numbers from here on in, a slow and ageing unit, the likes of cox, Kerr, embley, glass and priddis won’t win a premiership anymore…
Really bad today the eag’s they are going nowhere this season. Will NOT play in the finals this year. Carlton were good today so well done to them and mick. Can you believe some parts of west coast crowd still boo Judd? Pathetic. One of the greatest players the club ever had - real shame they treat him like that.
Is it just a coincidence that every time the Toasters enter into an alignment with a WAFL club they spiral to the bottom of the ladder?
I hope them and the Dorks fight for the wooden spoon…suck $hit!
Go the Hawks..
While I’m enjoying the eagles floundering start to the season i still have them making the 8 with the 4 still not out of the question. The next few weeks look pretty easy for them but their two main issues are kicking at goal, which is unbelievably bad, and the defence. Glass is good but Hurn is out of form and there’s too many guys down back that are not quite good enough.
I also feel sorry for Kennedy. If they could just deliver it to him half decently he’d kick a bag every week.

Flogs
Glendinning, Wilson , Stenglein ring a bell?
Sorry you have lost me. Of course I know of all those players - just don’t see your point. They all came to the eagles. The crows crowd would not have noticed stenglein had left. Richmond were glad to see Wilson go. The shinboners would never have booed glendinning.
The point being their happy to see players return to the west from other clubs
Yet when Judd goes back home the ferals whine like schoolgirls
Clear enough for you FFS
Oh you are an angry little ant are’nt you?
Rather happy actually
We got the 4 points
What are you 14 years old?
Yeah 14. You like em a bit younger tho? Am I right?

You sicko!
Well thats the top 2 and the top 4 finished, have my doubts about the top 8 now,
probably about time to look at a new coach for 2014, worsfold has done a good job
but time for change I think!

They should have buried Port in the first half but were very wasteful for the 2nd week in a row. A lot of those goals were not difficult. They gave Port a sniff and the rest is history. They were unlucky to lose Priddis, but it would not have been a factor if they had kicked straight. They seem to lack leg speed as well and that has been exposed. They can still turn their season around but I would think the best they could do would be the bottom half of the eight
Unbelievably poor kicking for goal by LeCras tonight and Cox and Darling also missed sitters. Credit to PA for working their way back into the game and going on with it. I know WC have a few injuries but they’ve got plenty of depth to cover the losses I would have thought. I know Natanui is a big out but they’ve still got a 6 time AA and Callum Sinclair has proven more than capable. Wellingham and Rosa will come straight back in you would think.
I doubt WC would move Worsfold on but it wouldn’t surprise me if Woosha pulls the pin at the end of the year. Perhaps they underestimated the value of Quinten Lynch?
Looks like the host club factor has come back to bite the Eagles in the a$$ again its working a treat at the minute!! ..serves them right too!
Breaking this down for the Eagles and remembering that last season the top two won 17 games, the fourth team won 16 and North Melbourne needed 14 wins to finish 8th.
The Eagles are currently on one win out of five. In their remaining 17 games they play 3 teams twice ( home and away)
- Bulldogs
- Adelaide
- Essendon
They play the following teams at home
North Melbourne
Richmond
Fremantle
Sydney
Gold Coast
Geelong
They play the following away
Brisbane
GWS
St Kilda
Hawthorn
Collingwood
So based on last years ladder they would need to win 13 of these 17 games to make the 8. Assuming they get players back later in the season and get back into form, you would give them the 2 games against the Dogs and the home games against Adelaide and Essendon. You would certainly give them 3 of their other home games (NM, Richmond and Gold Coast) the other 3 could go either way. Of the away games I would give them 3 out of 5 with the Hawthorn and Collingwood games looking a bit doubtful. So I reckon 10 certainties out of that lot which still only makes 11 wins.
So to make the 8 they are going to have to pluck out 2 or 3 wins against higher ranked opponents. They certainly need to win all their games at Subi to have a chance.
To make top 4 they would have to win 14 or 15 of their last 17 which on current form looks very difficult. The real bonus for the Eagles is they have a real chance in the next 6 weeks to put their season back on track. In this time they have games against Dogs (H), Brisbane(A), North (H), GWS(A),Richmond(H) and St Kilda(A). Win all 6 and they will go into the bye at 7-4 and with their confidence up to face the really tough games. So all is not yet lost Eagles fans!
You can calculate all you want, the eagles will not be major players come September this year or next. For them to be any chance of a GF they must finish top 4 really top 2, forget that now, cox kerr glass embley will all go seasons end…most of the WCE squad is mediocre,
The host club deal will yield dividends longer term.
