[quote=“Senior Seagull post=223342 userid=922”]Must say Winger, Subi have done well from WP with players like Latham and Rohde who both became premiership players but couldn’t get league games at Joondy and Liam Baker who came from your colts and was a significant player for Subi before being drafted. Do you have any promising ruckmen, we desperately need someone around 200cm and 100kegs
With WP making all three grades to the GF and if WP becomes dominant over the next few years I can see the commission looking at WPs zone. As the population / housing grow further north I can see other WAFL clubs trying to grab the southern part of WP zone. I can see that the southern sector probably has the older players ready for WAFL and the northern sector has the younger players. I think this will deplete WP strength for perhaps ten years. UNLESS, the commission leaves the zone as is because it wants WP to be a third AFL club. It’s just a thought. Anyway back to guitar practice, got Hey Tonight by Creedence down pat.
[quote=“Winger post=223347 userid=846”]SS, I did say that Suby was talking to a player, you said a ruckman would be handy, read between the lines.

Winger, if your talking about Troy Yukich, I’d be happy with that, he showed what he’s capable of in the finals series, continually gave your mids first use. That being said, I’d be surprised if he left the Falcons nest after winning a flag.
Perhaps Dellaporte SS?.. but then again Oskar Matthew’s matched him for hit outs in that Subi reserves GF win…so who knows…maybe Mallard or Patterson, but both are pretty raw, one would think Subi would be after a ready to go ruck, not a developing one.
As for the WP player EF are interested in, a tall KPD like Pegoraro , would be handy that is for sure.
SD have secured ex Geelong VFL small forward Jack McLachlin for 2023…comes with experience and a VFL team of the year member. Wonder if Trew and Blakely will suit up for SD after their respective delistings?
Sharks have added Tom Joyce to their growing list of recruits. Great to see Joyce and Hugh Dixon return- hopefully Strnadica gets announced shortly. EF have already strengthened (pending any outs) an already strong squad- great stuff.
You’re generally on the money Roman so I’ll go with your observations but I thought Harry Marsh still had at least a year to run on his contract. Crowden is a good get but obviously won’t happen if he gets picked up by another AFL club.
On another note, apparently Chad Harris has left Subi and gone back to Melbourne. It’s a shame as he was all class.
If the Crowden rumour is true thats a very good get, he’s very good at WAFL level, if he can contribute the way Giro has it’s a big plus. Sad to hear Chad has headed home, a class act. Would not be surprised if Harry Marsh decided to head to EF to play with Mad dog Marsh, Still a good player but at the end of his career and we have some good young mids coming in with Schofield and Hayden, plus Crowden if true,
