Thanks BH; probably got confused with his son. But let’s throw in:

Wally Langdon CL
Basil Rigg P
Harry Price WP
and Bud Byfield CL

I think only Fred Buttsworth played for WA and WP

If my memory serves me correct, and that’s rare these days, Darrin Ramshaw played a few games for the mighty Demons and had an illustrious cricket career with WA and VIC. Or have I got that wrong.

Haha yes quite correct Dazz, Ramshaw did play 7 games for the Dees & for WA (and that other mob over East) in the Sheffield Shield.
There were 3 fellas at that time who played cricket for WA & League at Perth in the mid 80s- Spalding, Ramshaw &…?

Good work with those 4 names above.
Both of the Buttsworth brothers played at WP and for WA.
I thought you would have got one from our particular side SH?!

Oh yes, forgot about Kevin…

Good topic by the way…

Great topic, Beas.
I don’t think these four East Perth blokes who played Shield cricket for WA have been mentioned.
Allan Edwards, Ernie England, Ron Frankish, Matt Garnaut

Alan Stiles thinks he should have played shield.

Good work Arch.

A little off topic but can think of a couple at least that played Colts/Reserves level and Test Cricket but not for Australia.
Martin McCague (EP - ENG)
Dean Brownlee (WP - NZ)

Did Tom Outridge jr., play league football? I am pretty sure he was a state cricketer.

I was just going to message that I assumed this thread applied to footballers/cricketers since WA entered the shield in 1947/48 - my bad - because I was going to query Fred Buttsworth who played for the state just before the war. However, as it is pre-shield, there are Outridges (plural) and many others in the 1920s and 1930s fitting the bill.
