WAFC - a new nameplate & zone changes

Well I guess we should see Perth a lock for playing finals in the colts year in year out then Tiger Tales. We’ll soon be playing back to back to back grand finals and winning multiple colts flags and be right up there with your club with the most players playing AFL.

Or, do you think the population and demographic might have something to do with it? The numbers don’t lie, you are privileged both with your city and country zones. It’s a lot easier to do these things when you have something substantial to work with.

A nice working holiday for Prescott and co. Maybe popped into Margaret River to visit a few wineries on the way back.

Perth have been active in Northam for years. One of my kids was in the Perth futures 2-3 years ago and is from Northam. They would train together the same as the SW hubs do but coming to Perth to train with the main team was an expectation that many can’t do.

I phoned football HQ yesterday, apparently zone changes are happening but she couldn’t give me a timeline of any announcement.

I’m sure the WA Football receptionist is all over the details of any future zone changes…

You’ll be sweating on the announcement TT as will we. I made my points well known.

Especially the zone change for Corio to Torquay……going to be a few unhappy campers on here……

Yeh there’s been a change there, our east coast zone now extends to Sydney and surrounds. Doddy is the gift that keeps on giving.

Blast!

Knew I should have touted for The Club along the Bellarine Highway over Summer!

:smiling_face_with_sunglasses::grin::upside_down_face:

Doddy has probably been Perth’s best recruit from the EF footy club…though Gibellini had some success from memory……

Perth payed a $25,000 transfer fee for Giblelini.At the time it was the largest transfer fee payed between Wafl clubs.

Aiden Tropiano was a steal lol.

So were Forman, Lally, Newman, Marlin and the Spalding Brothers I guess as well…..

We’ve gained and lost areas before but pretty confident we’ll keep the vast majority of our zone.

Did the WAFC receptionist tell you that zones were based on participation levels, and your opinion, as much as you think is important, isn’t something that influences the zone boundarys
