Just a quick comment, how good was Brandon Starcevich!
Brandon Starcevich was very good in the Grand Final, Grump, and at 25 years of age and with 118 AFL games under his belt, I don’t think we’ll be seeing him back at East Perth soon.
Speaking of other Royals at Brisbane, James Tunstill, with just 9 senior games in 3 years and none since Round 8, may well be on the outer, while Darcy Craven seems to have disappeared after the Lions selected (or should I say “stole”?) him in the midseason draft.
Do you know if Darcy was on a 6-month or an 18-month contract?
Tunstill is one of a raft of players at Brisbane who all play that mid role, probably slipped in the pecking order so who knows. I would think that if delisted he would be picked up by another VFL club.
Not sure I agree with your assessment of Craven. I watch the Lions on the VFL replays each week and since going there he has played well and seemed to be improving in their game style each week. Again, who knows what will happen to him.
I certainly wasn’t criticising Darcy Craven, Grump, I was just saying that we (the “Royal we”) haven’t heard much about his progress.
However, you clearly have your finger on the pulse far more than I do in terms of the development leagues (e.g., VFL), so that’s wonderful news to hear that Darcy is playing well.
I wish him every success, as I do all East Perth players who’ve been drafted to AFL clubs.

I was not suggesting you were being critical, unlike others would. I was just pointing out he was or is doing ok!
