[quote=“Senior Seagull post=236690 userid=922”]It was inevitable in a country like the USA that this was going to happen. Initially looked like a staged event but was a genuine assassination attempt and a gross failure by the security elements. Even attendies at the rally saw the gunman several minutes before the shooting and warned coppers but Trump was not removed from the stage. Sadly a couple of critical injures and a death of some nearby.
If the Demo’s weren’t already sunk, this will completely bury any hope for sleepy Joe. The Trump camp will use this to great effect and many who may have been wavering about Trump will jump on his band wagon, it promises to be a landslide imho.
Just as an aside, google “Project 2025” read some of the articles and be very very afraid for the American people and the rest of the world if Trump wins and the Repub’s implement some or all of this extreme manifesto. Shades of Gilead out of the Hand Maids Tale series.
Apart from the fact it’s some ex trump staffers that put it together an trump refuses to acknowledge it, which part makes u very very afraid?
Everyone relax Trump reckons he was saved by God and is now on a personal mission From God just like the Blues Brothers after being hit on the ear “really really hard”.
I see someone else was going to take a pop at the Trumpster. Given the number of nutcases over there, it’s only a matter of time unless they do something about security. I don’t particularly like the guy but he doesn’t deserve a bullet through the scone.
Survived another assassination attempt thwarted by the SS who were scoping the golf course 3 or 4 holes ahead and spotted a gun poking through a fence on the border of the golf course. The SS agent fired shots and the nutter took off leaving behind his AK-47 and a backpack and camera. Took off in his SUV but was spotted and chased down and arrested.
Hopefully this means Trump romps to victory over that nutcase Kamala Harris. Have you seen her latest, actually first individual interview since becoming the presidential nominee for the democrats? A 5 question prepared interview. See if I can dig it up. How this woman is in the race to become the leader of the free world is beyond belief.
Interviewer. You spoke about an opportunity economy, can we drill down on a few specifics on what that means and how you are going to bring down the cost of living for Americans?
Let me start with this I grew up in a middle class area …a neighbourhood where people were very proud of their lawn, you know? Cackle, cackle… ?

AK 47s and Military Assault Rifles in the US, who would off thought, ask Trump and MAGAs biggest sponsors the NRA.
Whole things a circus, Trump loves the Drama, I see he was out on the gold course again, then again he spent 4 years of his presidency doing that.
So putting your hatred of Trump aside, do you want to see a strong US economy and restore a bit of world order, or do you want a left wing socialist in charge? Because that’s what it all boils down to.

I like most of the top 90 US Dow companies and executives want a strong economy and sensible policies with certainty in government which is why they are voting Democrat and not the wacky backward talk of anti free trade tariffs and populist clap trap that doesn’t work and an administration that doesnt turn over staff constantly like Trump does.

Simplistic to think it all boils down to Economic handling (Trumps the worst since Herbert Hoover) and Foreign policy accomplishments (Trumps the worst of any US president). Background, integrity, Intelligence, ability to compromise, leadership ability (Trump all poor) are important one would think. What about the relationship with congress and domestic accomplishments, court appointments, executive appointments and avoiding crucial mistakes (Trump again TERRIBLE).
I think the problem is to many people in America have worked out you just cant trust the Don, everything he does is with his own interests in mind and the American people have worked out he isnt necessarily truthful. he talks a lot of riddles.
Some of my friends in the USA who were big democrat followers wont be voting trump this time around, and they are the same people who regularly wore make America great again hats at his last win.
It wound not Suprise me when the truth comes out that in some way Donal and his people didnt set this up to take the attention away from Kamela. I mean the golf was late planned and not in his calendar and then the FBI can spot a barrel coming out of a fence…Cmon am i the only sceptic who smells a rat?
