Geez that was a pain…LaHincha might have to run some html courses..
Again info from sportingpulse so dont shoot the messanger
Thanks Trav.
Thought Bloxsidge would go to Bunbury with some of his ex-Subi mates?
Rumour is Worthington and Sheenan (both ex- Subi) will be with Bunbury this year.
I heard the same mate, actually can confirm that Worthington said he was going to Bunbury as I asked if he was keen to come to the Bulls, but I was to late. Another good player from the Goldfields, and I think he will dominate on the SWFL
But I think the clearances will start coming through pretty quick now, once the WAFL scratch matches are done.
The Jetta’s to another SWFL club… haha
Eaton must be close to breaking the points limit with the recruiting they have been doing wouldn’t they? Trav, how has your recruiting been up at the bulls?
Howdy Lions Pride, I’m not directly involved with the league (only colts) but so far things look slow on the recruiting front, not sure if they have been talking to many blokes, but will have to wait and see if any decide to come back from the WAFL.
Still a couple of months before bounce down, and a lot can happen.
I am a fan of new recruit Greg Sanders so far at training, looks to be a good addition to the club and hopefully will stick around for a few seasons.
I think we will rely on some local talent and try to build things up over a couple of years. But very hard to fill gaps of some good players who have transferred to other local clubs in recent years.
Eaton & Bunbury look to have a few guys coming in so yes they will have to watch their points, and potentially be top of the table contenders. I am not sure if the points are published anywhere but it would be nice to check them out, and this may give the coaches a few headaches during the year.
Trav
I was talking to someone late in the week that said that one of the boomers better players said that they have lost a few of the second tier players but is good as they are left with a quality list instead of carrying numbers ??
It should be an interesting season in the swfl with the bulls securing Parnell to coach, the noakes boys back at amr, Jeff smith heading back to dbk, then with the recruiting that bunbury and eaton have done. Good move by the bulls to secure a quality coach. Heard any more movements or news in any other clubs ?
Eaton Boomers-
Ins-
K.Bloxsidge (Subiaco)
J.Bowe (Eaglehawk)
B.Barnes (Harvey Bulls)
A.Devitt (Peel Thunder/Returns)
Outs-

M.Russell (South Fremantle)
B.Russell (Retired)
Hey Trav,
I’m fairly sure the points for each individual in each team are published in the annual SWFL Pre-Season Guide lift-out that the South Western Times puts together each year. It’s released a few weeks before the season and is fairly informative on everything.
Thanks Justin I was waiting for you to chip in as you have some good knowledge on player movements.
LP yes the appointment of Paul Pannell is a big plus for the Bulls also his assistant Vido had settled in well. But no more news from me. Just looking forward to the scratch matches as the preseason can drag on a bit.
Matt Tamm Eaton, Liam McGuire CPFC, Rylie Hutchinson Manji all look like joining Bunbury as well from what i hear.
The Jettas are a big loss to Busso - does anyone know if either of last year’s Grand Finalists recruited anyone this season?
Collie, apart from Shannon Cox (who moved to the area) and Paul Lindsay, were all locally based players last year. I heard that Jarrad Martin and Teke Vernon may be joining Williams in the UGSFL, but that could just be a rumour.
yeah…they had those players last season. Are they staying on? Martin and Vernon are big losses if that is the case.
Seems like a big recruitment drive by Bunbury!
Did they lose many from last year?
Paul Pannell will be a massive gain seen as though he has coached with an open cheque book at Waroona for a couple of years. At least Harvey have a successful State Country coach at the helm to push strongly in 2013. All the best with the venture the League needs this sort of promotion to breath fire on the regulars.
Anyone know what the latest movements are at any of the clubs?? There seems to be no change in the sportingpulse site which seems pretty strange as the season is getting closer!
I hear on the grapevine that Chris Billings from the Perth Football Club will be pulling on the Donnybrook Footy Club jumper and playing in the SWFL scratch matches.
Apparently is taking time out of the 2013 Wafl to recharge his batteries? Be interesting to see if he plays the full season at Donnybrook.
After the pre-season games, any predictions as to how the ladder may look in September?
Any teams stronger than last year? not as strong?
