This Saturday,South Australians go to the Polls to seemingly put in the State Government for another Term of 4 Years.
Now that Electorate has to decide if their State Government LIED to them for 4 Months, over the State’s Algae issues and whether they contained a Toxin, called Brevetoxin causing Fish kills and posing a threat to people’s health.
I won’t say much more, except to say it is on 4 Corners Tonight, titled Toxic Tide.
I will add that that if the SA State Government throws their Public Servants out front and potentially Under the Proverbial Political Bus,instead of a relevant Minister, they’ll have some serious explaining to do themselves,in telling the Electorate they Didn’t put the Chief Public Health Officer up to say the things she did.
Like the Lemon Pepper Statement!
Surely NO Health Professional would utter such a Lame Explanation for people’s bad reactions to such a Toxin, off their own standing?!
I hope Nicola Spurrier has not had her position seriously compromised by a Government MP or higher up,in an Arse Covering excercise of Massive proportions?!
It’s probably too late to put in tonight’s Episode of 4 Corners, but would love to know sort of comparison the South Australian Premier was making, bringing Beer into the conversation about Brevetoxins!
I’m guessing that despite the Appalling handling of the Environmental Catastrophe along the York Peninsula, plus Victor Harbour,it will hardly impact the South Australian State Election or harm the State Government to any great degree.
A great pity they will not lose a chunk of seats as a warning for how poorly they’ve handled this at the very least.
Environmental Disasters such the Brevetoxin poisoning of parts of South Australia, serve as a warning to future Governments to ignore the Danger and act like it doesn’t exist at it’s own Peril and thought of People’s Health and Safety.
Lord help the Coastal Environment there, because the ALP are NO Better than the Coalition and the Electorate there are too bl**dy complacent to care about it.
Until the Fishing Stocks CRASH!
That might grab the attention of a certain lobby group there!
Predictable thumping win to the ALP as PHON become the LNPs version of the DLP, splitting the already small conservative vote and allowing the ALP to surge to record victories.
This does not bode well for the Libs come the next Federal election…Labor will walk it in again.
