Scratchie vs West Perth at Joondy

Our club tends to do this, have a good recruiting campaign and let it down with 1 signing that generally is in the high end of points.
For example the Kelvin Lawrence recruitment made no sense to me last season based on what he had done (or hadnt done) at his time with Peel.

There have been other cases of 5-10 point players that have failed, you cant just be an “ok” player at high end points.

Surely the Wafc can’t justify ten points for a player that’s played one Wafl league game even if he’s been on an AFL list.

Can anyone confirm that he actually is a ten point player I would be amazed if he is.

Yes he’s a 10 point player PN, go the player list on the WAFL site.

PN he is listed by WAFL as a Perth player at 10 points.
As you say, this is a ridiculous situation. Was AFL listed..?as a rookie? and never played an AFL game, and played one (1) WAFL game last year for 3 disposals.
At 10 points I don’t see how his signing is justified. At,say, 3 points you might take him on.
It seems that the WAFL are taking back a few of the concessional points that they gave us. Perhaps they are now worried that our recruiting programme was too successful and we might now become a force to reckon with.

How are the WAFL taking back the concessional points that they gave us?

Don’t get too paranoid Smokester.
Remember Sibasado (??), a bit different I know, he played a few more League games.
But was also a 1 game AFL player.
After all the rules are the rules.

Simple Mr AFL… by assessing a player’s points value far higher than it should be.
I don’t know if there is an appeal process in regards to points but surely any club would argue that this player, in particular has been unfairly rated causing him difficulty in being recruited.
Fortunately for him,Perth have given him an opportunity although I do stick to my view that he is an expensive ressies player at 10 points.

Yes DF, Sibosado was a similar case but he did play 1 AFL game. Papertalk has not played an AFL game at all, just 1 WAFL game.

Paranoid? Maybe. This is my last comment on the subject.

Wonder how many pints young Hamish us worth?

Can the Lions actually fit him in both caps?
