Sage sells GLORY

gtr: that means there would have been as many as three croat clubs at one point; as you know, all the clubs without an obvious ethnic founding would be predominately anglo-australian: ‘caledonians’, ‘balga’ and so on. Balge was definitely founded by a pom.

gtr; soccer seems to have had two eras of growth in western australia: just befor the great war and the ethnic clubs after the second world war. Pre great war clubs, such as caledonians and subiaco were set up by Anglos. More recently the poms help set up balga and Wanneroo.

Forrestfield United & Wanneroo British were Pommy clubs mate.

Yep also Rockingham, there was a club out at Willetton as well that was pretty big.

Thats correct Ark 1910 - 1920 Soccer was pretty big in WA.

Quite amazing how bloody quiet this story has gone after the failed sale.
The feeling I received was the clubs situation being rather dire and simply losing money like there was no tomorrow. And Sage being the only stakeholder, was simply not going to pump any more of his money into it. All of which makes the future of the club look rather bleak unless something can be pulled out of the hat!
