Rising Fast & did he.

All this crap talk about “real champions” reminds me of spring 1954. Rising Fast arrived & ran plus won the Turnbull Stakes, Caulfield Stakes with Bill Williamson aboard. Bill fell in I think 1000 guineas which was the race before the Caulfield Cup & Arthur Ward rode him to victory. Then back in distance with Jack Purtell aboard & won the W.S.Cox Plate plus the McKinnon Stakes before the two mile Melbourne Cup. Then back in distance in the C.B.Fisher Plate which he won.. No trainer since has juggled distances & won seven Group One race inside two months.. The TRUE CHAMPION. ( Won $133,530 but in todays values would be well over $10m )..
