for the second year running Nisbett’s nightmare are compromising results - percentages are going to be so far out of whack it’ll cost an unlucky side when it matters most
Obviously there is a massive issue at the AFL level , their system is producing injuries but it is affecting another competition directly because a barely reserves strength side has been fielded
Until that AFL thing gets it’s injury list at least halved there should be forfeits to at least keep something level
what happens if one of those far lesser standard top-ups gets seriously injured or worse
[quote=“Senior Seagull post=227120 userid=922”]If you blokes dont win by 100+ points against a depleted WCER side there should be an inquiry.
Well no surprise you did what you did, pretty much a training run, but what a disgrace for the comp and compromises the comp even more when a team can get a 100++ increase in their % from one outing. The WAFC is a joke and intent on making the WAFL a bigger joke. Someone mentioned that both AFL teams reserves play in the WAFL reserves, Thats a pretty good suggestion as it leaves the comp alone and will see the real Peel deal show it wares.

Southerner you’re point about if something happens to those far lesser standard top ups getting seriously injured is already happening. We all know the AFL Eagles are a basket case injury wise already but have you seen the WAFL eagles injury list?Assuming its correct they have 12 or 13 of their top ups out so where are they getting more players from.No doubt they will find them(country, amatuers, etc) as they have to field a side via their agreement but bet you they will use their current situation to ask the WAFC for further concessions at the end of the season.Judging by their comments some time ago they might dredge back up “how about a player or two from the traditional 8 clubs” or something similar.Any integrity left in the comp then?
no club has agreed to lose two players in a ridiculous agreement that suits just one club - it places any top-up player at extreme risk given the shocking standard at WCE
Their reputation precedes them in any merger situation , no-one wants to get anywhere near them
