Preferred PM!!

and it looks like the public are about to give Voldemort more birds and it’s just starting to gain traction

how the fark are the Blue boys going to use the old coal station plant / equipment for this nuke tech ???

that’s just fantasy someone’s taking the piss in Voldemort land me thinks

At least he has a plan for Collie, Greens and ALP plan is mass unemployment and a closed down town.

The other problem for Dutton is getting the states to agree and while it’s Labor Premiers across the board, that won’t be easy.

Bazz
mate
not one single resident anywhere wants to share a lane with one single truck with nuke waste in it
and let me tell you the land values anywhere within 200 kilometres of a plant will just fall through the floor we all know that
this guy has just made a big big blunder
and how he thinks he’s going to overturn the law on this one is just well fecken weird in itself
he has to come out now with what power will cost after he’s somehow got the rabbit out
and that WILL be bloody high in fact out of reach for any ordinary Aussie since he’s telling everyone within earshot the Govt will be paying for it
nah it stinks and he’s about to find out harshly

I’ve read 2 articles that have mentioned Muja as the one.

And I read that of the top 20 economies in the world, Australia is the only one without nuclear power generation, or not moving into it.

Not sure that’s anymore dangerous than the thousands of cars that sit in lanes next to road trains fully laden with huge sacks of ammonium nitrate that’s mostly used by mining companies to blow up rocks. But if it comes into contact with water I believe it becomes volatile. Ask Beirut residents.

As for Collie being against it, from the interviews last night the Shire President was open to the idea and many residents interviewed said it was a great employment and investment opportunity in the district.

Would be billions of dollars worth of investment, in construction and long term real jobs, unlike renewables which by their very nature hardly employ anyone.

We have Labor coast to coast at the moment that wont be for ever, Qld Labor are goners and WA are tanking.

Anyway Federal Gov would be able to do it without them, Constitution gives with power over states with several heads of power to take land.

Nuclear Waste is already being carted around Australia.

Absolute nonsense
Radioactive material has been safely transported for about 70 years and there has never been an accident resulting in a significant impact on the health and safety of people or the environment. The in-built safety features of the packages, regulatory controls, and emergency response procedures have always worked to ensure safety. Around the world, 20 million packages of radioactive material are safely transported each year on public roads, railways and ships. Just like all the other routine and daily transports of radioactive materials that occur in Australia.
Transport and around the world, the transport of radioactive waste from more than 100 locations around the country to a centralised National Radioactive Waste Management Facility will be conducted in a way that is completely safe for people and the environment. The specific transport routes and methods from the many existing radioactive waste storage locations around Australia will be determined as part of detailed planning following selection of a preferred site.

as always it depends which media outlet you take your info from.

you omitted to mention Shane Love’s confirmation it is not a popular decision in WA Bazz - but then you’ll be waiting for the WA liberals to announce another Belltower to pat themselves on the back again
see I’ll spell this out for you - there is no major nuke waste facility that will cope with daily truckloads , there is no infrastructure to cope with daily truckloads of nuke waste , there is no emergency response industry that will cope with the inevitable fuck up and then centuries of baricading off when that happens
and let’s be serious there is a monumental difference between explosives and nuke waste - even humpty dumpty gets that so get a little bit real eh ?
truth is it will cost far more than the nothing as yet costing by Voldemort & his team of sky monkeys
and here’s the kicker
it is dirty filthy multi-centuries of storage energy - dirty filthy toxicity that you are totally unable to get away from when the emergency happens , and where is the water going to come from Voldemort lovers ???
it’s a dirty energy we do not want near our resources or our people

read that China builds 200 to 300 solar & wind plants to a potential Nuke - does that say something?

Haven’t seen any public vote of this yet Southy , and by looks of this thread you are the only on against it. As far as Shane goes comments I saw said he thought with Nuke Subs coming people will come to accept Nuke power as part of the mix.

Cores last for 10 Years prior to going to waste - stopping spreading chicken little nonsense , ffs third world countries are doing this not to mention the worlds most advanced. Absolutely ridiculous ill informed hysteria.

Nuke power is the way to go.

like Grumpster says it depends on where you get your information from
the global trend is moving away from Nuclear power plants - even USA just binned their latest effort due to economics of it
it’s moving toward solar & wind generators mate
and Love did come out with that in yesterdays rag - 100% no lies here I don’t need to anyway
it’ll be interesting to see any vote from those residents now after this

Moving away from Nuclear Power Yeah right- is that why labor is committed to Nuclear sub for decades ahead, like most of the world’s top Navies?
Solar and Wind are part of the mix not the entire Answer as most countries know.
And China is building plants as well as many others?

Figures supplied by the NEI. Obviously Tony and his bunch fkn clowns don’t follow world trends.

Why can’t I edit this so it is more readable?

Yes it needs saying that dopey old dutton certainly has provided a good distraction from the real issues that need addressing. He certainly sucked a few people in!

Reading the news today and it sounds like we are all off to the polling booth in the federal election early. In March, April possibly May. Apparently a lot of bills were rushed through parliament today before the recess. And on top of that, there is a state election around the same time too.

Probably because there are no spaces and line breaks. Bit like a couple of posters here who are too lazy to press the space bar after a full stop and an enter key to create paragraphs. Not too much to ask.

Even more mind boggling is some people encourage them to keep doing it.
