Boomers out
[quote=“DD post=237109 userid=1749”]Search Arisa Trew on YouTube it showed her gold medal winning run in skateboarding. Just 14 years of age our youngest medal or gold medal winner in history. Incredible. Totally opposite to the earlier skateboarding event where everyone was falling down. She apparently messed up her first run so would have bolted in if she didn’t mess up the first run.

9 Started showing it last night, I draw the line at that crap, flicked it over to GB News to learn about the riots there, and then back once the Boomers came on.

Apparently the left wing media are censoring coverage of the riots over there. I learnt about this from passengers I picked up last night from the international airport.
I said what are they rioting about? Apparently a 17 year old Sudan born British raised male stabbed at least half a dozen children aged around 6 to 8 and 3 of them have died. Lefties are the new Commies by stealth trying to control us in every way they can think of.
I still haven’t seen any of our media here write about this appalling event.
DD. The 17yo was born in Cardiff and his parents migrated from Rwanda years before. Apparently the rioting is the result of false narrative by extreme right wing groups that he was a refugee who arrived by boat. As a consequence, idiots are targeting mosques, refugee hostels and the like. I don’t think any motive has been established for the knifings. Just another nutter on a rampage. It happened a week ago and was widely reported in Oz media including the West.
Thanks BC, well it’s about the background. It’s about who they associate with and where and what they are seeing and reading online. I’d say serious mental illness (which the courts will use as an excuse) or he has been radicalized either locally or online. I see a lot of young men of african decent wandering the streets looking homeless and asking people for money and looking stoned off their head. It seems they have been abandoned by their families and friends.
It is a serious problem and we have had a horrific incident here not so long ago when an African girl in her early 20’s was attacked and murdered by a homeless young African man in the street in Mirrabooka or Balga. I know the sister of the other girl who was walking along with the victim. She said he was known around the area always wandering around the shops and Bus station in Mirrabooka. They had a creepy feeling when they walked past him in the opposite direction and started running but he chased them down and grabbed one of the girls and stabbed her to death.
How many warning signs do authorities have to ignore before they intervene to prevent these sorts of crimes? I bet my left nut this British born Rwanda kid has shown plenty of signs things aren’t right.
By the way, when I clicked on the West Australian banner taking me back to the main page, I can’t see that story anywhere.
The stabbings and killings happened to Southport just north of Liverpool, I have been to Southport and was quite shocked as its a very quiet place and quite well off, a lot pf very rich EPL players and ex players have mansions there including Kenny Dalgleish.
Word got out that it was a African Muslim that did it, and soon that resulted in anti immigration riots, something that has been seething for years due to large boat arrivals that no body seems to be stopping.
It spread to other cities, last night on GB News there was extensive coverage of riots in Birmingham where a Muslim Mob stormed a local pub, smashed the windows and had everyone locked inside.
Appears the main issue now is two tier justice with Police reluctant to respond to Muslim Non White protests but targeting “far right” protests.
Back on topic i see one of our hockey players got busted trying to buy cocaine?
Probably why they had a bad tournament
Not the first nor the last athlete seeking some recreational drugs PH…anyway let’s get really back on topic and celebrate that WA rush for Gold overnight.
Pole Vault, Sailing and Team Pursuit all WA influenced…Aust up to 18 golds and may be just maybe, a few more before the Closing ceremony. Great effort by Kennedy in the pole vault…never easy going in as the favourite, but kudos to Nina. Ditto to Wearn in the Dinghy class…back to back for the WA sailing champ.
As for the Team Pursuit boys, any win over the Poms is a good win…more so when it’s Gold. Not sure it gets any better than that.
Pole Vault and Sailing well done.
Gee well done to the Aussie Water Polo girls, overcoming the reigning Gold medalists in the USA, to make the Gold Medal match v Spain.
Unlucky for the Male K4 team on being pipped for Gold, by Germany, in the final by 0.04 seconds,
Gutsy effort by Johnson in the 10K swim, to lead for 9.7 km only to be pipped at the post by the Dutch girl for gold.
The WA boxers Senior & Parker got a bronze each in their respective weight categories.
Hull is in the F 1500m final and a strong chance for a medal.
Javelin, Cycling, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, and Canoeing still provide medal chances for Aust, so game on.
Olympics done n dusted for another 4 years. Aust sign off with a Silver fiesta over the last few days, unable to hit the 20 mark for Gold, which seemed feasible mid last week. 50 + medals in total, great effort, some expected, some not.
Talk of cricket being at the LA Olympics in 2028, I guess one way for India to win a gold. Hopefully the Breakdancing event will be canned, sadly Raygun’s effort will be remembered long after the Aussie back to back feats in the Sailing and Swimming.
Cricket in - Breaking out Freeze…
Highlights to me Womens over all performance was outstanding, Water Polo Silver, heap of Gold Swimming, Gold and Silver in Athletics , Opals made a comeback with a Bronze.
Lowlights were , Hockey and Rowing , both had poorest results since 1956, and Matildas flopped badly.
Ch 9 coverage needs to lift, I hope LA gets sorted, also hope events are on a better times. I missed a heap due to late times.
Not sure how the hockey continues to get the funding it does…under achieved for many a year now…the Dutch won both comps…as for the rowing, they split the awesome foursome from Tokyo and put 2 into the 8 and won neither…
Men’s Water Polp beat the eventual gold medalists in Serbia 8 - 3 in the prelims…yet died a death in their last 2 games to finish 7th or 8th. The Ladies beat the reigning gold medalists in the US and gor pipped by Spain in the final.
Yes Mate, agree on Hockey, Water Polo was our standout team performance, then Basketball with the Opals back in finals, The Boomers though are a long way off their peak finals appearances years back.

BA fucked up when they reappointed Brian Gorjian. Had they appointed Trevor Gleeson then Bryce Cotton would have got his Exceptional talent Visa and been part of the Boomers. Gorjian refused to guarantee Bryce Cotton would be in the starting 5 therefore BA withdrew their support for an Exceptional talent Visa. Assholes. You couldn’t get a better human being to be welcomed in our country as an Australian citizen yet look at all the shit they let in. Something seriously wrong with our immigration policies.
