West Perth have always had these issues and been competitive. The difference now is Monaghan is not the coach.
Players come and go as the years roll on and I don’t care if Lockyer or Seaby go to other clubs, I could list a whole heap of players that came through the West Perth structure and moved on, and I don’t give a flying fuck. If the Falcons can’t match the dollars that other clubs can pay then go. Football is a job and if another club can give you 20 grand up front and a grand a game then good luck to you, pull on another jumper and work with passion or without passion, sometimes there is no loyalty and sometimes there is. All I am interested in is the current crop of players; gee we have some up and coming talent. The colts nearly got close to the grand final and guess what; the rezzies won the grand final. There is a big heap of talent there, these blokes may not gel immediately but they will gel. I suppose there will be real good fodder for the clubs with money.
Winger good response and you are so right with the players coming through, it will be a bigger test for Valentine with a seemingly younger group but that is why he took on the task.
The only thing I would be worried abt would be that whilst some are goodun’s at ressies and colts not all of them translate that to the big game. Ypu and the WP supporters would know your players better than others so who do you reckon will step up.
Good luck.
I reckon valentine will be better Astro, he is just as thorough as Bill but he has a fair bit of learning to do naturally.
Well said Winger, Im very content about this season, I like watching the young fellas come through. It feels like only yesterday Black and Nelson started.
Beas,
Falcon is only a few short of the mark mate when you look at who will be in the starting 22-
Yukich-Wont play League (3rd in line).
Riddoch-Unlikely to be available for obvious reasons.
Abbot-Gonsky.
Dzelebdzic-Gonsky.
OHalloran-won’t play League.
Manzone-Is into his 8th-9th season at WP.
Lourey-into his 5th season.

Leedy not sure what happened to Abbott, Dzelebdzic etc as they have ability and are still on your list as is Potente who retired last year. You blokes are in a similar position to what we were in some years back re the finances but at least you can be assured you will win more than you lose on the field unlike us!

I suppose your spot on mate, your boys went through it the past few years.
What’s all you Falcons fans thoughts on us currently having no recruits to date in 2020 and where will we finish ?
good topic mate
if you’ll accept an outsider’s view I think the biggest deal for you guys is replacing Strijk’s output or getting a couple of goals a game out of someone else
Agree interesting topic.
If any club is ever going to bottom out it is wp now isn’t it? Retirements, no recruits, a bloke in the big house, unproven coach…
WP have been fantastic for years, albeit with OPM, but like NM in other comp you can’t stay up forever.
Rudy Riddoch appeal has been published. Unlike Pell, Riddoch didn’t get up, so he’ll have to serve a few months. Guess it doesn’t matter as much now that the 2020 season is in tatters.
