Sad to say this 1986, but I don’t think his opinion means much to WCE atm. Having an assault charge hanging over your head, and having the coach cream you in a time trial doesn’t leave him a leg to stand on, re: preferred playing destination.
This entire situation has been brought on by one persons lack of responsibility - Murray Newman. He has given the WC hierachy plenty of ammo to argue that the best place for him is at EP Eagles. Newman sowed the seeds, now he has to reap the rewards. Just sucks that it’s Swans and the supporters that really lose if it does eventuate.

come end of the day hachii who cares if SDFC and their fans lose…the main thing on the clubs and fans agenda should be Murray Newmans welfare…if WCE/EP feel they need to take greater ownership of the kids welfare to improve his on/off field attitude, than so be it…I have no doubts you and other SD fans only want what’s best for young Newman…obviously having an AFL ego around a WAFL club isn’t helping keep the kid under check…what ever works for kid should be the highest priority…sad to feel you lose out mate…life sucks sometimes I guess.

Anyway, I digress, back to the topic. With regards to the Sonny Walters incident from last year, it seems that Swans were more than capable of helping turn Walters’ season, if not his career around. Why not let the same apply to Newman is the question, Freeze.
Correct hachii & Greg Harding coached both boys in the Swans Colts ..its funny how both boys “troubles” started while under the banner of the AFL system!!

I was discussing the topic fella…you mentioned how unfortunate it is for SDFC and its fans that Newman might be leaving SD, I merely responded that your concerns and the clubs mean f-all in the grand scheme of things, especially when you and SDFC don’t pay the kids wages…WCE do and they feel perhaps being at EP may be better for him…who knows…Walters is paid by Freo and they thought different…but Walters is a bit older than Newman, so perhaps that was behind their thinking…why are you guys dramatising it all up?

In all honesty who does Newman want to play for?..WCE in the AFL or SDFC in the WAFL?..if it’s the former than he will do what he is told then…if it’s the latter then Newman should just retire from the AFL and solely play WAFL then..
Freeze no one is denying he is a WCE player but the WAFC have put in place the rules for 2013 & that stipulates Newman plays at Swans this season but now that pr!ck Nisbett & his cohorts want to bend the rules yet again to suit themselves yet again

Hang on a sec, Newman and ALL listed afl players train, get physio etc etc with their AFL club. The only time they are with their WAFL club is for a couple of hours on a Saturday!!! To insinuate that newmans problems are going to be fixed by him playing for EP eagles is an absolute joke.

All afl listed players train (work) at their afl clubs dont they? The only time i ever see an afl listed player is on game day. How much more of an eye do you want? If Newman made mistakes, which it appears he may have, these mistakes were made under the watch of wce…mmmmm can i see a pattern stating to appear here?
Mr Freezin who are making a lot of statements without knowing some of the facts. SDFC had recruited Bennell from Melbourne when he was delisted at the end of the 2012 season. Bennell was set to play for SDFC in 2013.
WCE drafted Bennell when he was on SDFC players list. Meaning that Bennell is a SDFC player which allows him to play for his WAFl club for the year.
It’s the same set up as SInclair at Subiaco or Hutchings at West Perth.
Macca even if Newman has made all his mistakes under WCE watch…I can understand WCE greater desire to keep the kid closer to them more so than ever now perhaps…righting a few of their own wrongs perhaps?..
also WCE feel perhaps that Dawson at EP on match day is more beneficial to the kids footy/personal development than what Harding could of provided…who knows?..ironic considering Dawson was SD last premiership coach.

Dear oh dear freeze I know Christchurch Canterbury is a long way from the action over here so to speak but you unusually have made a right fool of yourself on this topic old mate …the difference between your boy Cripps & JAMIE Bennell was the former was traded to WCE while Bennell was delisted by Melbourne then signed to play for Swans before WCE picked him up in the rookie draft …similar to if Seaby had been picked up by WCE in the rookie draft as was speculated he would have played his WAFL at Claremont as he had already signed with them after being delisted by Sydney!

out of interest BH, if Jamie signed a contract with SDFC before getting drafted by WCE, obviously wages were discussed and agreed upon mate? I wonder if the kid will get his WCE wages PLUS his SDFC wages on top as well? LOL…that would make me laugh big time!!! … 
anyway I think I have annoyed you SD boys enough :silly: …hopefully Newman gets to stay with you boys in 2013…the kid has talent and needs some direction, who ever can give it to him, hopefully will eventually result in the kid providing us footy fans with the x factor we all love to watch!!
