Last one I promise. Standing out side the visitors change rooms listening to John Todd tear every player apart. It was the best half time spray i have ever heard. What he could say to players in those days. Couldn’t do that these days they would have the coach sacked.

Sitting on the seats in the outer wing at Bassendean as kid, watching on as a lady was asked to put her black and white panelled umbrella down as it had stopped raining.
Request ignored so one of the group behind her accidentally slipped lighting up their next ciggie and all she was left with was an umbrella frame 
.

Warren Ralph kicking 400+ goals across 4 consecutive seasons including 3 x 100+ goal seasons. Think he got beaten for the Bernie Naylor by Simon Beasley one year.
TT. That Michael Mitchell player was Greg Wilkinson who is also our vet. I have reminded him in the past that he was the step ladder for the mark of the century.

Anyone remembers the cheerleader girls, South had them, Swans also. Think a few others.
Last time I saw the SF cheerleaders was the 1989 GF, made a one off appearance.

Perth had a terrific marching band that marched out into the middle of the ground after the reserves playing the the Perth theme song.
City of Perth band perhaps.

Going to all the different away grounds and expereincing their unique layout and atmosphere.
We have lost a few along the journey Perth Oval and Subi , and others are a shadow of their former selves.
Leederville in the heart of Garlic land with its huge hill and lively stands, Bassendean with its wooden picket fence old stands and miles away, Subiaco with its huge size but few supporters, Claremont, the flame trees wooden benched hill, and big figs at the railway end, East Fremantle the old stand made from scrap metal, busted turnstiles and masters choc sign, Lathlain, stained in borewater but had handy parking…

Excellent Bazza. That was one of the best things about the old WAFL. Subi was a great old ground with those huge banks at the eastern end, old wooden stands and the there tier stand you could drop ice coffee cartons full of water from. Splat!
Another thing was Aboriginal families that were right into their WAFL teams sitting on the wooden benches around the ground and behind the goals. You still see a bit of that bit but not at much today.
