History made - panic sets in

But seriously back on the topic, how can anyone who supports Peel possibly claim any joy or pride from making the finals, winning finals and possibly going all the way? I couldn’t imagine Zac Clarke, Tanner Smith etc… even local WA boys Clancee Pearce, Matt de Boer and Tendai Mzungu going to premiership reunions at Peel when their true loyalty is to another WAFL club.

There is no loyalty in footy mate, that’s why players like Trops will move to another club for success or more money. he’s already done it once.

Good luck to you Rookie Draft…I hope your Fremantle AFL Reserves Team bring you many hours of enjoyment

Sorry Anchorman hard habit to overcome..

gotta disagree freez. you and I are kindred spirits on a whole range of stuff but I think there’s nothing wrong with raising the Freo issue as all our Peel friend has to do is say he couldn’t care less…end of story. what we have at the moment is very one sided perspective from opponents of the alignment …I would like to hear from someone who thinks its a positive.

Just dont think it would be end of story for some here though BC…RD coming on here defending the Peel Footy Club would be like a Negro speaking at a KKK meeting about the virtues of having dark skin or a pig farmer trying to sell his wares at a Jewish synagogue…but hey I hope RD does tell us what it feels like to be a Peel fan…

However as DD rightly points out…if I was a Peel fan, I’d be here having the " banter" that is for sure…both sides always need to be heard…hopefully RD does respond.

Hey,he’s free to come in here and chat all he wants.Unless it’s Tash.In which case, she’s free to come in and chat.

If they want to stick up for Peel, fine.

I’ll take on board their angle on this, but if I feel the need to debate things here,I will. And I will not cop any arguement from Anchor,Freezin and Peter North that I shouldn’t.

Hopefully Peel get their Club back to play in their own right,as opposed to Ridiculous Suggestions that Freo swallow them up.Then Rookie Draft and fellow Peel Thunder supporters won’t have a WAFL Club to support.

And they Reform their Past Players and Officials and keep it going during the Host Club period, like East Perth are. That’s when you put aside the Host Club Differences and Old Club Rivalries and enjoy each other’s company with some good natured banter, tucker and Beer.Enquire within,… B)

No this is the Peel board go and whinge about the alignment on the countless other threads on this issue, stop stinking up other club boards with your dribble.

Go somewhere where the Sun don’t shine,Pal.

I was talking about Peel, but when you’re in one of your snooty moods,it doesn’t matter what I say.

Press the Ignore button or disappear. But you can’t help yourself, can you?! B)

No surprises in the responses from the stuck in the mud tragics. Pretty sure the alignment decision was made in 2012. Time to get over it boys And wasn’t it after all the prezos voted against stand alone WC & Freo sides. Whether you like it or not AFL is the premier brand and basically funds the WAFL clubs who most would die without it. The alignment gave all WAFL clubs more money.

Not sure what posting 11 months apart or Eagles media has to do with my post. I did post a few new topics on the Peel thread last season but they were hijacked by a number of derogatory posters.

Here’s a bit of tucker for mutter that some of you don’t seem to get. Football clubs are made up of much more than a dozen or so players that are in the league side. There’s the 30 odd busting their gut in the colts the same for the ressies then there’s the coaches, staff, volunteers, parents, friends, members, supporters etc. We have never had a large supporter base but I’ve got mates there and I enjoy supporting them. Do you guys expect us Peel supporters and them EP supporters to give up because there’s been a change that isnt what everyone wants.

I’m sorry but that’s not the Aussie way. We stick by our mates and teams no matter what.

Are you deluded. They are loyal to the Dockers who pay them not to their former wafl club. How many Peel players went to a certain club and ended up with a premiership. Showed no loyalty to Peel.I can think of only one player who showed loyalty to his former wafl club and that was Ashton Hams who retired rather then have to play for a aligned club.I will be a keen observer to see where Tendai ends up next year if he is delisted. Will he be at Perth or some other wafl club.

Perhaps you can give an appraisal of how Peel played against Swans down at Mandurah when you had a reducedn number of AFL aligned players.

No doubt injuries played a huge part in that Peel loss to SD 42?..good to see Peel bounce back tho and still make the finals.

That’s fine with me,if you want to Stick by your mates in the Colts and Ressies, because they are Peel’s Teams.

But then what?I suppose guys like ROB and Bell, plus Mora before another blasted injury cruelled him, would give the team a little element of Peel. How many Peel guys do you think might edge your representation up past 6 of 22?

Then in comes that other mob.Hardly Peel then,eh?No way I’ll be following PERTH if we become West Coast Reserves, because it then, wouldn’t be PERTH.Definitely not,if our Colours Morph from Red and Black to Gold and Blue.

The Clubs took the money sure.Pretty sure they had the Gun Cocked at their heads when they had no choice but to take the money. If they voted against it,do you think the WAFC would have listened to them anyway.?

Think carefully about that one! It’s pretty darn obvious what that answer should be.

Having said that, good on you following the Colts and Ressies. And Yes I know of the Volunteers at your Club.I see them often and they are very Dedicated.I always enjoy your ticket when I get to Rushton Park.

It’s FREMANTLE and WEST COAST I have a problem with.Disgracefully helping the AFL destroy the Competition, which Fitzpatrick and Co,didn’t have the Balls to do it themselves. :woohoo:

Not quite.

Kyle Hams retired after 2 Stints at South and 1 at Swans.Ashton Hams is Still playing, but on a 1 week holiday. :pinch:

I didn’t agree with her over how Peel got firmed, but I admired her for flying the Flag for Peel.

You are wrong again.Ashley Hams officially retired from the eagles so as to play for South Fremantle. There is a article online from November 2013 stating his reasons.

TWO MORE West Coast players have announced their retirement.

Eagles squad members Ashton Hams and Brad Dick told teammates of their decision in the aftermath of Saturday night’s 86-point flogging.

They join Andrew Embley, Adam Selwood and Mark Nicoski in retirement after the trio revealed they were hanging up the boots in the lead-up to the Eagles’ last match of a dismal 2013 season.

No worries I really enjoyed that game. Alex Bray debut and we played 13 locals with 9 or less games. Only had 1 Fremantle listed player with AFL experience and we out scored Swans 11 goals to 10 in 3 of the 4 quarters. Bad 2nd term from memory lost by 5 or 6. Interestingly despite it being Swans best result for the year there was a bigger crowd at Bendigo for that game than Swans next home game.

Grassy, lots of assumptions and errors in your post nvm hey look I’m sure the 70’s and 80’s were great times in the WAFL but times have changed. You need to too otherwise youll get left behind and become upset frustrated and disgruntled. :woohoo:

I’m talking about when their footy careers are over you tool. Do you think those players would feel motivated for a 10 year reunion if Peel won the flag this year just because they played for Peel while they couldn’t crack a league game with Freo? Not a chance. Playing in a premiership for Perth would mean a hell of a lot more to Tendai Mzungu than winning one with Peel I can assure you.

But then you are an EP supporter and want to delude yourself that a premiership with 12 to 20 Eagles players is an East Perth premiership.
