Hams pulled the pin on WCE

Perhaps you can expand on the subject here and now. Obviously, our financial position is somewhat tenuous at the moment. Hopefully, we get a bumper crowd to the game on Sunday to help.

nothing to expand on, top 6 players told to take a haircut or look elsewhere if they want the same money…
and since you know Douglas maybe ask him to clarify our financial situation as despite our expected profit those players have been told that info..

What is the extent of the expected profit? You seem to be privy to far more information than I am MO.

Given we are trying to dig ourselves out of a loss of $900,000 a couple of years ago it would be reasonable to expect that it will take us a considerable number of years to return to a sound financial footing.

I certainly am not in any favoured position with respect to our current situation because I happen to know Paul Douglas.

if you see Paul Douglas on Sunday then you should ask for a rundown on things..

Unless he comes to the Belmont Park Tennis Club to vote on Saturday I am not likely to see him.

42 so you do know Mr Douglas!

Swandog any chance that he might consider joining his brother at Basso in 2014?

I don’t really know Swan, It does seem logical that he would entertain a move to play with Kyle, and he is a regular watching SD when WCE and Sth haven’t clashed, plus he and other Swans players get on well, but I don’t know about the ins and outs re-finance at SD. Although I do know that a certain ex Champ midfielder is still owed $ from 2 years back which is disappointing. But if his allegiance stays at South then good on him, if he wants to join SD then that’s great too. If we were going to target anyone I would think we would be looking at some bigmen to be honest. C.Wilson perhaps?

i hope he stays at Souths. Would be wise to think it through. I think its good to stay a one club player if you can. South has a good culture and history shows they dont stay down for long periods. They showed a bit late in the year so Hams shouldnt just rush a move. He could dominate at wafl level now, and with Saunders in one pocket it could be a dangerous forward line.

Dont forget Cory DelOlio could get delisted from essendon, and end up back at souths too. what a tantalising thought for SFFC.

Unless he comes to the Belmont Park Tennis Club to vote on Saturday I am not likely to see him.

You voting for Clive Palmer swan??

Sounding better and better mate…

Lets hope on top of that the minor grades produce and flag or 2!

It will be good if Hamsy stays at Souths & they can lure Callum Wilson & Dell’Olio if he gets axed from the bombers. How good will it be if the saints show some balls and delist Clint Jones after he set the dwarf on fire??? Have all 4 of those blokes playing for South Freo & top 4 could be a strong possibility in 2014.

Hilda welcome back anytime at Subi ???
No point going back to Peel for him as from next season.

If Saint’s delist Jones and he and Hams play on at South’s next year, if I was Hams I would be watching my back haha

I doubt very much Jones will be delisted

Haha very good Mr AFL!!

geez SF could be over run with forwards next year…Hams, Saunders, Gillespie…possibly Willo, D’Ollio, Jetta…even Kersten…perhaps even Mason Shaw…how about that Central Districts goal sneak who went up north to preach the good book a year or two back?..heard also Verrier and Ah Chee may be on their last legs at Richmond and Port…looks like SFFC will back big time in 2014!

who in their right mind sets light to another person…Jones must either have shite for brains…or have insecurity issues…is he that desperate to show off in front of his mates?..

Clint Jones must still have ongoing issues from the 2005 GF in being confused with Toby McGrath freeze!!

young fella who hasnt had a beer in 10 months because these young blokes are not able to be normal, they are robots. when they suddenly get a skin full they do brainless things.
and this was a brainless act. the dwarf fellow will be able to sue him in a big way. big mistake by jones.

Saw an interview with David Ryse Jones the other night. He mentioned the players always had a beer after a game, and in his case a smoke. He would have a smoke 20 minutes before a game (different times i know). His point i guess was players were just people and the players were used to drinking. it was normal so this sudden blast of grog players have these days just smashes their brain cells. its a disaster waiting to happen. these things will keep on happening no matter what the afl say.

thing is, Jones isn’t a young fella in terms of footy age Jardine…he is one of St Kilda’s senior players…yeah we all did/do stupid things when hammered in our younger days…the average Joe would get pinged big time for doing this…Jones got fined 3K?..3K is nothing when you are earning a decent 6 figures…wallet money for these guys…

I and most folk would lose their job if I/we did something like this…go out and get pissed…have a laugh…funny how Jonesie set alight a 4 foot fella instead of a fella who was taller and heavier than himself…hope Jones gets burnt himself, in a law suit, for simply being a show pony…

Maybe that is in anticipation of a few players returning home next season MO!
