GF and Simpson Medal tips.

Bazza hasn’t revealed his source for the 2000 tickets sold claim. 15, 000 sounds more accurate and tomorrow’s crowd on track to exceed the 27 K that attended last year with 6 clubs represented across the 3 grades.

Fair call mate - Cockburn more a corporation than a club.

C v SD
C v EF
EP v Freo

Pretty sure East Perth have promoted the GF.Like the Sharks did in 2023.
I was told by a Royals fan that the $155 tickets. All you can eat and drink corperate boxes,on level 1.Are sold out and have been since,Wednesday afternoon.
Wafc projection of 30,000 will be around the mark.

Please please Peel win, Erasmus for the Simpson.

Theirs a lot going on in Perth today.
1.Royal Show
2.Basketball Tournament at Rac Areana.Hoops Festival.
3.Wafl GF Optus Stadium.
Any crowd over 25,000 will be a good result.

The media coverage has been pathetic, but they love promoting the Bea Smith league.

TBO RL.EP v Peel is a better clash for a football contest.
Pretty sure all media would of jumped on a Sd v Ep GF.
The usual mobs promoted the GF.
91.3 FM
720 ABC
Some talk on 6PR
96 FM have been great giving away tickets all week. And talking up the march. They must be a GF day sponsor.
92.9 is Music,sports channel Embers + co
Townsand in the West.
Channel 7 have ran, adds all week.
Will rate well with 7 and the Afl app

East Perth had a few opportunities to hurt Mandurah on the scoreboard - there were some fumbles at the wrong time , poor disposals & misses at goal and unfortunately when that happens against the VFL girls you end up losing
and them VFL girls got the free kicks when it mattered , the Jones one on Erasmus was one goal that East Perth just didn’t want to concede
but the VFL girls had a fair amount of influence on it and that’s the way it went compromised to the end
but that is the Victorian tradition or retardition whichever side of that Yarra Swamp it is

East Perth took too long to get going. They were rusty to stay with. Fumbles, not trusting their kicking… . 4th quarter contest was fantastic. Jones was huge. Crowden not far behind. Schumacher good. Brayshaw came off.

Erasmus and odriscal really showed their class. They were good to watch. It was a memorable if frustrating game. EP gave it their all.

The music was a bloody awful

35,240 at Adelaide Oval
Traditional rivals Glenelg v Norwood
Bays won
Perths new Wafl coach
Was the winning Premiership coach for Glenelg in 2019.Defeated Port Adelaide who had 17 Port listed Afl players.

Result no surprise to me as tipped.

Although close at times, the result was never really in doubt with Peel clearly in control as the game went on.

Too many full timers and goal kicking options, weeks break did EP no Favours, was obvious to me after they took SD apart that they would be a threat once they got going.

Claremont for mine probably the best team not to make the GF.

25,000 not a bad turn out considering what was on offer, a heap of WAFC free tickets no doubt jogged along the figure.

That wraps up a ho hum WAFL season, with the final result predictable early.

Do yousrself a favour and watch the replay on 7 plus.

Terrific atmosphere , Adelaide Oval is really taylor made for these types of events smart design with grass roots feature like a hill and plenty of standing room still.

Really goes to show a big crowd in a smaller venue makes for a far better spectacle, even with 25,000 at Optus looked and sounded like a morgue at times, and camera scanning over 1000s of empty seats looks utterly appalling.

Agree Baz Adelaide Oval is my favourite Aussie Stadium.
Still cant believe that horrible waste of money,Waca upgrade.6,000 capacity.Should of been a modern 25,000 seat, stadium
Now where stuck at Optus ,which is not a good look.

I’m surprised about these comments Bazza from someone who should know better about these alignments arrangements.Your club and Tigers were fully aligned in 1999,when your club had a dozen Dockers and lost the G.F to the Joondalup boys, and the Tigers quite ironically had a dozen Eagles which unbeknown to the Royals faithful, would be our last ever game at Perth Oval, where we knocked them out of finals contention, and salvaged something from our injury hit season, where our coach Worthington and players relationship was starting to fray, although playing in a GF and 2 finals,Wortho’tenure was a successful one. So we and your club took over a reconfigured interstate alignment model for the 2000 and 2001 seasons, and we housed the Michael Obriens,Woodens Chambers Antonowicz’s who couldn’t get Claremont over the line, but apparently turned us into a juggernaut.Sharks may use these players as an excuse in 2000,but was your clubs excuse in 2001,when we bent over your club Doggy style, and spanked your club by 12 goals, did our 5 eagles in comparison to your 5 Dockers make us a 70 points better side???and you know as well as anyone that alignments ended in 2001,where you club still obviously realing from the previous seasons mugging failed to recover and missed finals, while we went on to our sweetest leg of our hatrick, and Spanked the Joondalup falconi’s in front of 31500 hundred fans on a miserable wet day. Also to all you Karma morons,we played a Tigers team in ‘96 that housed 8 dockers and two 27 year old dual premiership players in Pyke and Lewis, and went down by 2 points, but we took it on the chin, and didn’t behave like whining little bitches like other club supporters,so we will reload and go again.

I don’t know how after editing my post has shifted to this topic instead of staying on the EP site?

I don’t know how it looked on TV,but the atmosphere was just fine where I sat,and I would rather watch my football club playoff in the WAFL’s marquee match of the year in front of 25,000 fans,in a state of the art facility, instead of a primitive, dilapidated WAFL ground that holds 15000,queuing to go to toilets that were installed before the Boer War,and walk on piss stained floors that overflow like the Ganges river.

Mildly amusing RL.
