no argument from me mike. i think this person had a pretty good run at airing his/her grievances but it almost turned into on-line harassment in the end…so fair enough.
as an aside, i managed to get onto FG this morning but its just pages and pages of crap so won’t bother again.

As mentioned previously, I quite enjoyed reading the posts on Footygoss for the last 10 years or so, but rarely posted.
With the demise of FG, I decided to have a crack at setting up a forum to continue the worthwhile posts and friendly banter after seeing everyone’s despair and talk of “purchasing” Footygoss.
The intention with OzFooty was never to take over, just an alternative. (less the dickheads and spam).
I have put some basic rules in place to stop the twits. I also intend on asking some posters if they would like to be elevated (basic permissions to be able to move topics, suspend topics etc) to give me a hand in coming months if indeed the forum and website continues to grow at the rate it has.
OzFooty.Net is community driven, not mike driven.

It’s a shame…both Oos & I put a lot if time into that site, but when it became clear that the owners didn’t give a rats arse, we gave up.
Looks like this site had filled the void nicely though…
Yes it appears the Goss is now a dead duck the spammers have high jacked and it is now stuffed.
I know that Oos got sick and tired of trying to delete the spammers and he gave up in the finish.He said he had gotten over it and was enjoying his new life.
Again it is a pity that like the WAFL site, we have lost a site for football lovers to chat in.
But this site is filling the gap left.
Outer - he has gone from the infamous Celica to a Mazda 6. Not the most macho car, but likely to leave a bigger dent in any future incidents.

Wasn’t a fan of fg myself but many people enjoyed it. Having a look last night and it was simply littered with spam and crap.
The FG owners should be making hay whilst the sun shines by selling advertising based on a thousand hits an hour…all spam mind you but hits nonetheless.
Yes, it is now impossible to find any real thread on there, it is all but abandoned, quite often it just drops out as well, some serious virus infection I would say.
I for one would not even veture there unless you want to stuff up your PC!

I made an offer to see what a HR would do to the notorious car. A Kenworth would of resolved most issues. And caused a repair bill bigger than $400.
I joined FootyGoss in 2002…wow 10 years is a long time, had a lot of good times on there and met a lot of fellow WAFL fans…
Hope I get 10 years out of this site also…if I live that long that is..
It will be a sad day when it finally gets laid to rest..
