East Perth - 2027

Great to see Jake Soutar take out the F&B for season 2026. Not sure he will be with us next season but good luck to him in his future.

Young Donnelly will be a capable replacement in the back line. There are a couple of others in the twos who could step up if given the chance.

I am waiting to see the departures and retirements start having had the awards night completed. I suspect there will be a few but you never know!

Grump from what ive heard, majority of the senior boys are all going around again as are the youngsters. Apart from Soutar, I dont see us losing anyone who played senior footy this year. With recruiting, if we get the side fit and over the terrible injury run from this season, I only see us getting maybe a defender and small fwd. Baker will be like a new recruit and he had a great 2025 and hopefully Stephens gets his body right also.

Reckon Souttar will get picked up by someon,Dev.

If not the Draft, then the Rookie Drat.If not that, the extended Summertime period,…painstaking for all..

Unfortunately our attitude to the AFL Clubs here, would be the hope they get picked up by Interstate Clubs,so they don’t end up at Peel or West Coast Reserves, which is a horrible prosp3ct for them, given the latter attract 2 men and a dog to their Home Games.

But that’s their fault, even if they do oblige on that score,in picking Interstate kids, which is more to do with a behind closed doors aggenda to HMV’s,than any other reason.

dev, I am not certain, but it appears that we may be without Zach Raykos next season. His name now doesn’t show on the Club Players list and he could be playing down south in the Peel Region where he played a number of games last season.

I hope it is not true because he is one of my favourite Royals players.

Another return however from long term injury should be Ethan Regan.

Late Edit: I have just read that Zach could be taking a year off to travel with his partner. Either way, he will be a loss to the side.

You are spot on mate, I didnt include him due to him only playing half a season this year. I believe he will be playing swfl again and traveling.

Losing also Jake Spasevski. Going with his ex-West Coast Fever partner to the Sunshine Coast.
