STT, a look at the Eagles forum on BigFooty suggests that many Eagles fans agree. I would be concerned if I were an Eagles fan, there seems to be a real lack of depth there. As we all expected, the Eagles reserves are struggling when they have to field higher numbers of non-listed players. Kalacjzic and Hug played last night - God help them.

Kalacjzic before this season spent around the previous 3-4 seasons playing for either East Fremantle or Perth in the resies, so that does say a bit about the depth.

Anyway, I don’t think the Eagles are in it to win it. I think it’s just an avenue to develop their players. That’s a bit unfortunate when you have 2 AFL teams in our comp treating it like a training ground. I think they’re both a bit disrespectful to the WAFL.

They have won twice as many games from their first 5 weeks of football as my pathetic mob have for near on a year now!
Remember a few years ago when the eagles decided to play a home game on WA Day without regard to it generally being the wafl’s biggest crowd pulling day? What a bunch of top blokes they’ve got involved out there.
Seems that the organisation is a bit concerned abt how the team is going, mmmm perhaps it is a reflection of how the EPWCE side was managed and coached. We all had concerns and the prof is now out there!
This mob better not receive any extra concessions whilst my mob receive absolutely nothing again.
We are currently equal last and have been last or second last in 3 of the last 4 years with no support whatsoever from the WAFC!
Agree BH, any thought that this mob get anything remotely looking like a concession would be a travesty. They were set up simply as a means of having all the WC players playing and training under the same umbrella, results should be secondary. Look at the Crows reserves, they have been bottom most of their time but are up in 3rd or 4th at the moment, swings and roundabouts. All depends on injuries in the AFL team.

That is incorrect TRSM as Perth & EF have been granted concessions from last year in that they receive 10 more points and I believe Perth also have extra in the salary cap but will have to double check that.
Considering SD continual poor performances of late I am not sure why we haven’t been granted similar concessions!
what is the point of having 10 more points when we don’t get close to using our quota now.
There is also no point in having an increase in your Salary cap if you don’t have the coin to pay anyway.
Perhaps if we recovered the funds from people we paid upfront and never made onto the park it would be a different story.
Yet we continue to use what points and $$ we do have on lemons, Will Simpson get a kick any time soon. .
