Disgrace Continues

One advantage that the non aligned clubs may have over East Perth and Peel is the overall motivation of the players. When I go to Bassendean in 2013, I will see 22 players who are all driven towards a common team goal and who actually WANT to play for Swan Districts, not wannabe AFL players who are hoping to be drafted. Good luck to the two aligned WAFL teams cobbling this collection of individuals into a cohesive unit. If Garlett wants to play for Swans, he is welcome. if he is just focused on himself he might as well go somewhere else.

Or if other people are whispering in his ear more like it..the comp will be buggered Mike and we will struggle to keep up with those 2 mobs i reckon

Maybe the 7 non aligned clubs should have their own little Competition within a Competition if you know what I mean. The highest placed G7 team gets a cup even if they don’t win the flag, worth a thought

If all of this shit continues a little visit to Fwank Cooper’s office might be on the cards from a few of us because we are not going to stand & watch a great competition I have enjoyed for 32 years be single handedly destroyed by this complete farkwit!

We should be asking for $200K…it’s a farken disgrace what will eventuate with the WAFC/AFL ressies!!! Can only see it getting worse.

Can I take a further step? If everone is on the same page here, maybe get ourselves organised properly with a very noisy picket line outside his office door! Yes it’s not the ideal scenario of choice but a good way to make a point. At the moment, I think there’s still too many unanswered quesstions. We could really make feelings known by getting organised properly. Probably not the best idea but just thinking aloud.

All the kids from the Peel Region will no longer have a channel to play footy at a higher WAFL level.

But I’m sure Peel/Fremantle will be demanding their transfer fees straight away after their kids in their zone are forced to other WAFL clubs.

As far as I’m concerned, we only have 7 clubs in the WAFL now. I will never be attending an away game at Leederville (East Perth) or Rushton Park again and I encourage everyone to do the same.

I agree boycott the away games and don’t pay the admission fee.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. It will hurt our teams support at these games but would make a statement. 7 team comp now as far as I’m concerned too. After a great Chrissy day I’m still pissed off about this.

I’ll be pissed off (as they say) for as long as this lasts. Going by the talk it will be for a far too longer time, if not reversed. Also it will be interesting to know the membership losses of both clubs. Dwindling membership and followers of the 2 said organisations will also send a strong message. One never knows, even big brother may get the hint?? Or maybe wishful thinking?

Wishful thinking I think westaussie.

Expect things to heatup on wafc, saw ef official today and told me g7 will not play Ep or Pt in season proper if demands not met

I kinda hope the demands are not met so it can bring on a boycott in season proper and eventually quash this rubbish alignment comp

I am with you swandog. The premier may have to remove Cooper from his job if it gets that far

Ill be renewing my membership at Swans for sure as the club has a target of 5000 members for this coming season, i hope other followers dont jump off their clubs as it will hurt them

Dead right dog, stick with your club and rejoin. I hope the 7 WAFL clubs do boycott the 2 AFL teams for every game this season. There may be legal implications, so it would be extremely important the clubs stick together and hold fast. What are the WAFC going to do…fine clubs into submission or suspend licences? That’d be REAL smart…and finish the comp for good. Mind you, with their current form, they are stupid enough to do that.

In the end ALAS, power and money, means they will roll over (UNFORTUNATLEY)

Unfortunately Unka is correct, Power and money will win out.
The Eagles and Dockers you would have noticed have not said boo since they got what they want. They don’t care now about the issue they have caused.
They know they will get what they want.

However if the group 7 decide to hold firm, get organised and all stick together, the boycott may work? If political intervention is needed, it depends which way because the wafl would need protecting and not under threat like now, if that makes sense. But reading between the lines, are the 7 wafl clubs holding out yet for more money? :frowning: . As the preceeding comments have indicated, big business will get it’s own way. Yes I too have noticed big business has been very quiet indeed since they’ve acheived what they wanted. They’ll sit back and sweep all the bloody mess under the carpet. The wafl’s in tatters and they’ll pretend everything is fine.

It’s going to be an interesting 3 months!
