DD what you have to realise is that Russia will never join NATO as it would lose it’s independence and NATO would never give Russia a Veto vote as thats somthing that would be non negotiable for PUTIN who fears any loss of power and privilege.
Putin wanted to be a part of NATO. I remember seeing Putin speak in front of leaders from all over the world and was calling for peace and wanted to join NATO.
