C2 Results - Round 4

Colts;
Mosman Park 4.3.27 def by Canningvale 16.12.108
Tight first stanza, then the young Cougar Cubs ran hard for the rest of the day with some good passages of play. 3-0 now for our boys, who have nearly all come straight out of Under 17’s last season. Good signs for the Canningvale future.

Reserves;
Mosman Park 16.11.107 def Canningvale 3.10.28
The Mozzies too experienced, too good. Well done to the Colts who doubled up. Great pick up for Mosman Park with Paul “Davo” Davenport (I think he may be an ex-Armadale League F&B Winner circa ~ 2009/10ish) running around in the two’s. Will play League next few weeks I would think.

League;
Mosman Park 5.10.40 def by Canningvale 15.22.112
52 Scoring Shots for only 20 Goals…! Swirly winds throughout the day prevented both sides from kicking straight. Close first quarter with the Mozzies kicking a goal after the siren to even things up. Second quarter saw the Cougars change gear and pump 6-goals to none. Too much run and carry from the Cougars who utilised the wide oval very well. Congrats to the two Colts who made their League Debut’s and to the Reserves players who doubled up as well. Great facilities at Mosman Park.

shouldnt it be round 3 results loves a goal? :wink:

Judging from Basso not uploaded there results could mean a big loss.

It is early! aha

Bassendean (C2) 8:4: 52
Quinns District (C2) 18:10: 118

Bassendean (C2 Rese). 6:8: 44
Quinns District (C2 Rese) 19:20: 134

Not sure of exact results for colts, but Quinns won by about 3 goals in a hard fought victory.

Seems Quinns and Warnbro are the teams to beat this season.

Any write ups / comments from other games guys?

Manning V Kenwick
League
Manning hit the lead and stayed there converting our skill errors to scoring shots, their big ruckman was wining nearly every tap. our ruckman where a hand short of him when jumping and he seemed to just be standing. i won’t try to make excuses we lost to a side who on the day wanted the ball and wanted the win more. we have to learn from it and move forward.

Reserves
from what i saw up until half time the scores where fairly close and then our reserves kicked away in the third.

Colts
we had big hopes for players at the start of the day but as it started we had 16 manning had 17 was a scrappy affair with manning being the cleaner with their skills, we kicked a few in the last but couldn’t bridge the gap.

Clarkson - was the manning ruckman CVK?

yeah

I hear Kenwick will be folding their colts side in the next week or so. Any confirmation on this Clarkson?

Let’s hope this is not true! The club hopefully is doing everything possible to keep them fielding a side. Cover their fees,get a bus to away games and win lose or draw make sure they have a good time afterwards. Buy em piss after every game etc.
They did have 16 on the weekend so hopefully there is endeavour to build on that,not throw it in.

We have no intention of folding our colts. We have a bus organized to travel to Warnbro this week and will be doing everything we can to keep fielding a side.

as Doey said no intention of folding them. having a lot of big clubs around us pinching players doesn’t help.

2 in Tha bag, Is the coach back yet? What is the feeling down there at the moment? Your games now are getting more important each week without a win to your name. Injuries or just lost players?
