A few percentage boosters for this round.

Colts:
Canningvale def Bassendean by 6-goals.. Great game, some very skillful players to look forward to seeing in the future.

Reserves:
Bassendean won by 5-goals - better team all day - kudos to the CV 2’s who fought hard all day

League:
Canningvale won by 10-goals - 3rd quarter the difference.

Colts:
Canningvale def Bassendean by 6-goals.
Great game, some very skillful players to look forward to seeing in the future. Both teams had great passages of play. The second and third quarters were the difference as Canningvale led by as much as 10-goals at one stage, only for Bassendean to kick the last 4-goals of the game.

Reserves:
Bassendean won by 5-goals.
Were the better team all day. Well done to our 2’s who fought hard even though they were undermanned with a few guys having to step up to the 1’s, even taking the lead during the second quarter.

League:
Canningvale won by 10-goals.
3rd quarter the difference. Canningvale led at quarter time by 2-goals, then at half time by about 4-goals. With old mate Ace plucking them from everywhere we had to keep the ball away from him. Came out after half time and played our brand of hard running football and were up by 7-goals at the final change. Held on in the last to keep old man Jonah happy.

Sorry for the double post - I intended to edit my old post but couldn’t for some reason.

You boys at Canningvale don’t do a bad job shutting me down, at least I managed a couple this time!!
Well done on the win and good luck for the rest of the season.
Ask Jago for me if he managed to see a Basso league team white board left behind on Saturday, hopefully so!!!

anyone down at the quinns kenwick game. quinns starting to look like the team to beat this year. new players? what players are helping get them there? or just a good team with good staff and a lot to aim for this year as one ?

Wouldn’t be from Quinns by any chance footy? They seem to be doing quite well so far. Heard they only had minimal training prior to round 1?

nah mate just an on looker and they are looking good

and would be great to get an idea on the opposition :stuck_out_tongue:

Seems to be a gap between the teams forming but maybe too early to tell. Quinns are looking very good along with warnbro and snesa going on the results

not knowing much about snesa from coming into c2 this year but will be interesting to see if they can keep it up same as quinns. heard there young might not be able to keep it together. but yes very early on and its going to be a good year to watch for all teams

well was a difficult weekend quinns pumped us in all three games i had a nice trip to hospital afterwards. i saw quinns had about 15 of last years league players running around in the twos so they have picked up a lot and used it to good effect. they where hard at the ball, hard running and their skills where on point for the most part. it will be interesting to see how it goes when they play canningvale as they have similiar game styles. any word on the bloke who left in the ambulance? looked like a knee.

Quinn’s have alot of ins this year I know of a few boys from playing country footy down at Williams! New coach last year so game plans would be coming together for them he also bought a few players in from east Perth.

Quinns looking like the side to beat this year with all 3 teams (colts, rezzies, league) kicking 20+ goals
Not looking forward to the road trip either…

Heard quinns have got alot of injuries early on anything to do with the short pre season that has been mentioned

The guy did his knee clarkson thanks for asking hopefully back in next few weeks!!!
Loving the rumor mill lol pre season was very short we started last November to end that one
We are just happy to have a couple of wins under our belt and it’s great for the club!!

2 rounds in in and the top five looks set! Any thoughts on what teams may still break into top five (although appears a significant difference in quality and depth on current results)?

It’s c2 and you started preseason in November!!
That’s cute.

What is happening at Bassendean ? I bet the club can’t wait for the coach to get back. I thought they would of been a very strong team in 2013 . Did they have a big pre-season. Quinns have started really well which may be a bit of a surprise . Interested to see people’s thoughts on this weeks games. Could be decisive even this early into the year. Good luck to all.

Good to see the cougars having a solid start of the year!

Fantastic to see quinns on the up the last few years
