Today@ 3pm, BOM official Perth temp 35degs. Midland 41degs, my place out of Midland 41degs. Current Perth, 6pm, 31degs, midland 36deg.
This isn’t an unusual occurrence. Some records may have been broken, we’ll never know.
Perth winters now a pretty much gone, we get half the rain we got in the 60s and day time temps are way higher, very few really cold nights..its more like a long Autumn.

Agreed. Its a fact rainfall is well down. And we all see it at that start of the WAFL season - some might not like the fixturing for this season, but March is getting ridiculously hot on average for footy.
I just got back from Poland where my wife’s family is lamenting the fact that white Christmases in their town are probably history. The nearby ski resort I visited has had its season cut in half the last 10 years due to lack of snow. This warming thing (for whatever reason) is real.

Yep you can see it in the condition of the ovals and outter banks compared to 70s, by April the grass banks and ovals were a lot greener and lusher , now they are pretty parched until July.
A big one on the way. Cyclone Zelia been rated a category 5 and possibly the biggest to ever hit our state. Set to make landfall in between Port Headland and Karratha on Friday night.
Yep looks like a big one, tracking today put this once passing just north of Hedland this afternoon, very slow moving which are the worst, brewing up and will drop a heap of rain.
How’s the change in warning codes, no more Red Alerts now some Eastern States system that has everyone confused.
