B Grade Round 14

After a wet and wild weekend last weekend it looks as though we may get some respite this weekend when the football rolls around. Things are getting quite exciting and MrM loves this time of the year and we all know everyone enjoys as well. MrM was disappointed that the lovely balcony was shut last Saturday down at Stock Road, although MrM had a good day inside. It got MrM thinking, that a certain Northern Suburbs balcony was proposed to be shut down as well but seeing as though it is 250 meters away from any playing surface the P.F.L deemed it safe.

Off the field though, MrM would love to know where everyone is, if you are out there send MrM a message, he would love to hear form his fans, MrMgets a polite text every now and then saying they enjoyed his weekly post, which leaves MrM to wonder, how did they get this number and how do they know it is me. So, if you are inclined MrM would love to hear form you as he takes his daily commute to the coal mines.

Let us look at this weekend.

Bullcreek Leeming v Wembley @Beasley Reserve

With both clubs coming off a loss last weekend this game is a good chance for both to get back on the winners list, and both are still in the relegation battle. Bullcreek has a disappointing loss to Swan Ath and will want to bounce back from that, whereas Wembley, who knows what is happening there as the club faces some issues. (Forfeiting 2 sides, Reserves playing gents who haven’t played for years – concerning). I think Bullcreek might be too good, but we shall see.
Bullcreek Leeming by 2 goals

Swan Athletic v Ocean Ridge @Swan Athletic Sporting Club

Well they are now half a chance to avoid relegation Swan Ath and they will need to pinch another game or two to give themselves a great chance to do so. They face an Onion Ridge side though who will be beaming with confidence over a win last weekend. It will be a tough challenge out for the Ath, but could they sneak a win? Unsure.
Ocean Ridge by 2 goals

Wanneroo v Whitford @Wanneroo Showgrounds

As big as a game as you may get for these two clubs very fond of each other. Wanneroo managed to get it done in recent weeks, and back on the home deck they will be looking to make sure they continue their winning ways. The North Padbury boys lost last weekend and won’t want to let that happen again and want to knock off Wanneroo on their home deck. Also unusual am hearing that North Padbury will be using the block on the far side of the oval tomorrow to help them acclimatise to having rooms so far away from the bench. Wanneroo at home to good to pass up.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Mount Lawley v Baldivis @Inglewood Oval

This will be a big game for both clubs with neither side can afford a loss. Mount Lawley we all know they are the form team and they face a Baldivis side hungry to win. The Lawley boys had a great win last weekend and will want to make sure of the same against some better opposition. Baldivis have come off consecutive losses and need a win now more than every if they want to play finals. I think Mount Lawley too strong at home.
Mount Lawley by 3 goals

Collegians v Melville @David Cruikshank Reserve

Collegians had a great win last weekend and we all know they are a good side, and want to go some good things. I would full except them to win again. Melville, they never looked like it last weekend and unfortunately it has been a long season for Melville and I am sure they are staring down relegation. In good news though Ladies Day was a success and MrM a big fan. Collegians will get it done though.
Collegians by 4 goals

Good luck all, stay dry.

Howdy sports fans
Getting to the pointy end soon and we have some interesting match ups this weekend that may shape the top 5, at least for the time being.

Wembley had a lot of outs last week with illness so they’d be hopeful to receive a good chunk of these fellas back through the grades. I think it will be enough to get over Bullcreek by 10 points.

Well done to Ath on a win last week however I dont think it will be enough to defeat Onion Rings who had a memorable win against Whitford. It was a nailbiter that’s for sure! OR by 21 points.

MOTR here will see the Roos take on Whitties, who will be reeling after a game they’d have pencilled in to win. They will be keen to get back on the winner’s list. This will be a tight game but I fancy the Roos at home by 5 points.

Another good contest at the Inglewood Plains this weekend. You are not wrong, that ground is a beast and I pity the 15 year old boundary umpires who must rack up serious kms around that ground. Two mature sides who have a bit to play for makes for runner up MOTR. I’ll take Mt Lawley at home by 3 goals.

Collegians by a lot.

Go well everyone.

Baldivis have been hit hard by Covid this week loosing 30 players. They are forfeiting both C 5 League and Reserves.

Well at least it will be better conditions today than last week.

BC v Wembley BC would be looking to bounce back after a loss last week in which they would of just about penciled in. They wont win here and Wembley by a couple of goals.

SA v OR Looks like it will be relegation for SA after this game. Even though at home cant see them beating OR after last weeks win over Whitfords. Should be close all day and I think OR by a goal

Wanneroo v Whit Wanneroo always hard to beat at home and this is the GOTR. Whitfords will want to get back on the leaders board and it will be a good game potentially between 2 teams fighting for the last game of the year. Think Wanneroo will get a win and put Whitfords a couple of games off the pace.

MT Law v Baldivis Baldivis could struggle playing on a ground much bigger than theirs. Mt Law going along nicely and I expect them to keep it going. A win here will go a long way in finishing top 2 and will win by 5 goals

Collegians v Melville Collegians by 15 goals

Went and watched 2 great games of football at the Showgrounds on the weekend.
Caught the back end of the reserves game, close tussle and both sides will again feature in the finals this year.
Whitfords player broke his arm in 2 places and the Wanneroo supporters again show no class by laughing as he leaves the field to seek medical treatment.
Don’t get me started on you Mr M, for all you do in this forum to create awareness in local football, you let yourself down on the weekend. As club president you should be embarrassed with your behaviour at the end of the 2s match. Standing at the top of the players race and then getting into a physical altercation with a Whitfords player at the end of the match. It doesn’t matter who started what, you are the President of that club, why you felt you needed to stand at the players race is beyond me. Put the boots on if you want to have a crack at a player. You should be holding yourself to a much higher standard to what you showed on the weekend.
I would be embarrassed if my president acted like that after a game.
The 1s game was a tale of two halves, Whitfords controlled the first half with Wanneroo running away with it in the second half. Seen most sides in the League and I can’t split our two sides. Will be an interesting finals B grade finals campaign that’s for sure.

Shiz, please allow me to assist you in your efforts to separate the Roos league side from Whitford.

Whitford lost the first fixture by 25 points.
Whitford lost the second fixture by 30 points.

Separation complete.

If Melvilles Verandah has been closed by the League because of intimidation and brawls on it then Wanneroo Showgrounds should be closed to spectators as well as there is constant abuse coming from the spectators and always plenty of brawls there and last Saturdays brawls with the Wanneroo President involved in the brawl showing there is no leadership at the club. Has he been suspended for his involvement in the brawl.

So what your saying Blunder is that the all in all brawls with Wanneroos President involved is ok as long as Wanneroo win.
That is a very ordinary attitude.
[/quote]

Turbo, your inference is lacking. I didn’t make any comment at all regarding the brawl. Shiz wasn’t able to split the two sides after watching them play twice so I was helping point out that Wanneroo made light work of Whitford on both occasions by 4-5 goals. This is no WCE-Sydney tight tussle of the 2000s.

A massive all in all Brawl involving Wanneroos and North Beach’s Bret Jones Colts division teams at Chas Riley Reserve on Saturday with 2 North Beach colts players knocked out shows that Wanneroos feral thug reputation is not just in the League and Reserve grades. I am sure everyone is looking forward to Mr Ms reply.

Wanneroo causing trouble? No way! It couldn’t be innocent old Wanneroo!

For what it’s worth I was at the Wanneroo Showgrounds on the weekend and all 3 games were played in good spirits, the crowd atmosphere was outstanding, heaps of banter between Whitfords and Wanneroo supporters, was great to see Whitfords past players in the Wanneroo side of the grandstand. I didn’t see a brawl as some have suggested.. I am getting old so perhaps I missed it.

I did see 20 Whitford League players and a couple of coaches walk out with their tail between their legs and not even having a beer with the opposition. A class act.

Well well Jizz is back and surprise, surprise bagging Wanneroo and making up stories again!. I wasn’t going to waste my time responding to the moron but now that many other of the ill informed seem to be jumping on his bandwagon i think it is time we did.
Firstly Jizz if you are going to try and “OUT” MrM please get your facts right and your personal attacks are pretty ordinary!
In regards you statement below
“Whitfords player broke his arm in 2 places and the Wanneroo supporters again show no class by laughing as he leaves the field to seek medical treatment”.
This happened right in front of us and many of the Whitfords “Balconians” who were present. We were not aware no14 had broken his arm till later in the day! We hope he is ok and recovers well. Having said that when our player was camped under a high ball and said player tries to “make him earn it” with a raised forearm, not knowing the extent of the injury i think you are kidding yourself if you expect us to clap. We video all league and reserve games at home and have clear footage of the incident and the crowd response which confirms my version of events so if you would like a copy post your email address and i will gladly send you a copy.

I would be embarrassed if my president acted like that after a game.

Embarrassed, on the contrary the reason he was standing in the race was because our normal time keeper got crook during the day so the President put his hand up, did the time keeping and had just pushed the siren which is at the top of the race. He was standing there minding his own business when no3 for Whitfords decided to give him a forceful double handed shove and a mouth full of foul language. No3 was then was escorted into the change rooms by his own players and he was also given a yellow card late in the game. The only response from our president was to tell him to P***off .He nor any of the Wanneroo players (who were still on the ground while this was taking place) did not get involved in any altercation and considering the appalling actions of no3 (which is not a good example from the ex club captain) we congratulate him and all the Wanneroo supporters for on not escalating it further! I’m sure if the role was reversed there would have been major trouble. As far as the president putting his boots back on if you watched the end of the reserves and the league game you may wish to do the same?

What are you on about? It is bad enough Jizz making up stories without you, who wasn’t even there, blowing it up further!
There was no Brawl!! On Saturday the “Balconian” crew from Whitfords were standing right next to the bar area and were substantially louder than the Wanneroo crew. There was plenty of banter but it was all in good spirit and supporting your team is encouraged by us.
I don’t ever remember any fights in the bar or the grandstand area and it is along way from the players race so getting involved with opposition players is never an issue!
To Jords
A massive all in all Brawl involving Wanneroo’s and North Beach’s Bret Jones Colts division teams at Chas Riley Reserve on Saturday with 2 North Beach colts players knocked out shows that Wanneroo’s feral thug reputation is not just in the League and Reserve grades. This was the 1st i heard of it and did concern me so i did some investigation. Were you present Jords ? because my sources tell me that yes there was a bit of brawl but hardly massive and one( not 2) Nth Beach player did come off with what appeared to be concussion. The belief that is the player may have sustained the concussion when his head possibly hit the ground?
A Wanneroo player did receive a yellow card (not RED) and if it was as bad as you are making out it would have been RED and we would have had correspondence from Nth Beach over the matter which we have not.
Finally Jizz instead of wasting your time bagging Wanneroo and as you are not playing, may i suggest you get down and assist your colts!
It is hard enough for them getting belted each week but the lack off field support will make it a lot worse!

Far North are you suggesting that The Jizz has got a bit too excited over not much and gone off early?

In regards to the brawl at North Beach, not much in it. Wanneroo player got yellow carded, a few players flew the flag for their team mate and was only a bit of push and shove. NB player passed initial concussion test but was sat out as a precaution. Did suffer a delayed concussion and will miss the mandatory 12 days

I hit a nerve?

Attach the video to this thread. Bet you won’t gutless.

At the end of the day, you are a bogan club, full of bogans. You know it, I know it, every single other club knows it. Haven’t changed in 30 years.

Certainly not Mr Ms finest hour.
very unfortunate Wanneroo had to cancel their past players day prior to the game, may have been for the best.
