Now that the AFL have decided that the 2 coaches in question have nothing to answer for, I hope they are both consulting with their lawyers to see if they can sue the AFL, Hawthorn FC and or those who made the claims. The whole episode has been poorly handled, something we have come to expect from the AFL.
one thing Victoria doesn’t like is negative press and this matter had to go away , it was a sham from the beginning and that’s why the Riolis didn’t want a bar of it

I don’t blame Hawthorn in this. The Elephant in the room is the AFL who lack the guts to increase the draft age to 19 or 20. Kids are drafted too young when they’re still finishing their final year of high school. It is the AFL who has blood on their hands. They are running a whore house like pimps. They don’t have the balls or intelligence to understand that give these kids a year or two in the WAFL/SANFL etc and let these kids grow into their body’s at home with their families around them and they will have a much better chance of succeeding in the long run.
Instead of building their hopes up when they don’t have the maturity. They could have a system where they can be picked at 17 or 18 but have to play 2 years in the state leagues before they have to move to the AFL club they are tied to. Similar to the old form 4 back in the VFL days.
