A tough night

Any win is good, but last night was a tough night for the boys.

Carlton, after such a trying week, were always going to be a tough challenge. They always give us trouble.

I also think we missed the cool head of Jaeger O’Meara. At times we missed his composure when the pressure was on.Also losing Voss pre game threw the forward trio out a bit.

The burst of goals in the last was very telling. Also the resting of Pearce allowed the Blues back in.

I also got the feeling that some of our prime movers were rested for longer than usual.

A few stand outs, Bolton was good all night an deserved the award. Close behind was Jackson, he was dynamic all night.Treacy, even after hurting his arm he was very physical. Amiss was also good once again.

Co x will be a handy step in for Darcy. Sharp fitted in well after a late call up. Kicked two very good goals.

A tough time ahead for the team short breaks and travel will make things hard.

Also we have nine rounds of playing before we get our only bye.The team is going to have to make sure that the players are looked after and rested. Also have to jope the second tier are ready to go when they are required.

Sitting second after seven games is a nice position.

Admin: talking of my spellung of the stand in ruck, it will not allow me to wrtie his name, hence Co x.

You guys got through a tough night.

The Cats did NOT!

Lost to a Team that Lost it’s previous 2 Home Gsmes against ordinary opponents.

Port played well the week before and were stiff to lose by 3 points away.

Plus my cats, are a very 50/50 team these days

I believe the Hawks started well, drank their own bath water after 1/4 Time and let Power back into the game.

Josh Carr will probably become a very good Coach, but he’ll have to wait a while with the current list and I reckon the Cats should have sorted them out,EASY!

Take the 4 points and move on. Bigger challenges await

I agree Mike. But from here in the Dockers need to look after their stars, maybe by resting some.
The length of game time before our bye is very long. Bodies will tire.
Sorry about the wrong info on the bye, it is round 14, not 16.

Yes A/man. What’s with this big brother control over wording? It wouldn’t let me post the acronym for Fremantle Aligned Reserves Team or even the word he*l. I guess I should have used hades instead.

A bit over the top for mine.

Cheers Southy.

yeah whats going on its ott..i got pulled up for B888y

Got that one sorted too now mate

I thought I said that word before,…seemed ok.

Amongst the games over the next month are the Doggies at Marvel, Hawthorn at Optus and Brisbane at the Gabba. All top 4 contenders. Those games will give us an indication of how the Dockers are tracking

Win,?,Loss.

If you knock off the Hawks, you’re lookin’ good.

But they and Mitchell are probably STILL Smarting after their Loss to you here, last year. They BLEW IT and probably STILL KNOW IT!

BIG 8 POINT GAME RIGHT THERE!

It was interesting reading on another site, that Freo only had one rotation left after resting players for longer than normal or more often.

A dangerous position, but they need to rest players with the tough few weeks coming.

I understand older players 30 + yrs old and 1 - 3 year pre season youngsters getting managed, but seasoned sorts mid 20’s with 5 + preseason under their belts getting managed?….surely not….just lighten their training sessions running wise every now and then

@Freezin Some players were given longer spells than normal during the Blues game.As said, they were down to one rotation, but so were the Blues.
JL said today that players will not be rested.More managed than rested I suppose.
