2026 WAFL Fixtures

Interesting if a source’s info,on one of these chaps in this frame above, playing down South in Bunbury next year,is on the money.

Watch this space(in a Club Forum here anyway).

Did you get an earlier Digital version, which may have kept a few things under wraps?

I see one night game for Perth v SF Round 12 June 27 at 5 pm. Middle of winter? Jeez. Brrrrr.

I was looking at the fixtures listed in the article. They have that game at 2.10pm.

Also has on the WAFL site the round 2 game, SF v Perth is on Friday, April 10th?? :open_mouth: Why / how can there be errors already once released??

Although the opener is a Subi home game,5 of our first 6 games to be played at Leederville, which could be telling if we can get off to a flyer.

I think round 12 S v SD at Steel Blue might be a mistake of venue. Usually the team listed first are the home team, and the previous game between the two clubs is at Basso too

Geezus they must have put work experience kids on it. All these mistakes

Why are Perth not getting any twilight / night games at home.
I suspect our landlords are up to something.
Save power maybe. We have the best setup for twilight footy in April, and yet nothing.

And when we do,it’s just after the shortest day of the year,June 27.

Makes sense,…..

Our attendances were well down last season when we started the season with a heap of night games. I suspect the club and supporters have spoken. Plus I suspect players don’t like night games.

Not sure what folk were doing last year, that they weren’t in ‘24.

There was about 2 000 difference between the same Fixture,on similarly great days/night weatherwise.

Surely people didn’t refuse to go because of the WAFLW games before the main game?

Certainly doesn’t make sense,mate.

I have 2 long days at Peel to look forward to this year. :upside_down_face:

Oledemon is right. There were about 4,000 - 4,500 for the Subiaco and EP twilight games in 2024, compared to about 2,500 for each of the night games this year against SF and EP.
I think the reason is that night games starting after 7 o’clock are not popular for WAFL people. However twilight games starting at about 5 o’clock are very well attended.

Perth v Swans League Scratch Match 11.10AM

I’m sure they have their reasons for it,…..

I guess our club is trying to be responsible with it’s spending Grassy. Keep the lights off.

Reading further into it,I Guess the WAFLW and Rogers Cup Scratchies are out the back Oval, because the times clash.

Anyone notice West Coast have now got 9 Home Games?

Yeah, in 2025 WC sold their home game to WP, whereas in 2024 they kept it (and it was at a bloody 11:10am start, no bar & nothing else open).
