Whilst South got by them last week,they lose 15 to PSA and State 18’s this week and still get by an impressive Sharks outfit,dealing with their own scenario with PSA and State 18’s,by a point today.
The Sharks were probably stiff on 3 counts in the last minute,but if Claremont still get through the Season with all the changes back and forth,over a good 16 weeks,you know what arguments will follow,with or without the changes by the end of the Season,…

South,after one or two things upset team balance in last year’s Grand Final,are purring like a kitten with 4 Wins to start the Season,including 2 Thumping Wins at their 2nd Home Ground at Arena Joondalup.
They’ll have their fair share of State 18’s and PSA guys,but I’m not sure that will affect them that greatly and should Win more than enough games to grab the Double chance in some form or another.
On the flipside,Peel.
4 Losses to start the Season after showing some promise in the Pre-Season and just quietly,23 consecutive Losses since late 2024,when they knocked off the Sharks in a Rushton Park Away Game.
Hard not to feel sorry for the kids involved,but do you put that down to their Zone,or a cycle of talent not coming through at the moment?
Or something else,…?Surely not the Alignment with Fremantle?
No idea, but this year’s futures weren’t bad. Some powerful kids. Might be brought back to them pack when other kids catch up in development.

Ever notice how their Futures results aren’t as top notch as their Colts?
This year’s futures weren’t strong. Will be interesting to see how strong the Claremont Colts are in a few years time. Only one kid made the state 16s. East Fremantle surely going to dominate the Colts for the next few years.
Friday Night’s Colts Teams were released early this week,on the WAFL Team Selections Page.
Claremont’s record in the futures has never been brilliant. Wins is not the focus but more about spreading the talent exposure.

As it is supposed to be, but some clubs do not see it this way!
