Season ended with some appalling numbers, a few hundred at Joondalup, and Claremont, and 1000 or so at the others, I notice for obvious reason Good Grief Park is pretty much TBC for games now.

Apparently East Fremantle footy club use a drone to calculate the attendance on game day. The drone must have broken down? Probably waiting for the parts to arrive from overseas, like everything else.

But when Football Commission Policy doesn’t count ALL Attendees,of course the figures are lower.
The total attendance for the regular Home and Away fixtures for season 2026 are down by 10% on last season I’m told. And last seasons qualifying round attendance total being very disappointing.

A Note for the Football Commission.
The AFL gives itself a pat on the back for 7 Million Attendees.
Whether they count feet or whole bodies,I don’t care.I daresay they count the freebies amongst the Attendees.
So why does the Football Commission go in the opposite direction,when it slavishly follows the AFL in most things?
For crying out loud,it’s only a few hundred extras most games,the Gate Attendants have to count.
That’s no knock on them,as they’re only following WAFC Policy!

Not World Beating,but certainly much better than 850.
What happened to the might Perth Demons Army that was in supposed to be in hiding all these years, they just had the best season in decades and attendance flopped. Turns out it was a ghost army.
Give me a break, if you took out the WAFL Freebies, the attendances would be about half.
Waiting for Finals,unfortunately.
Of course,they’re welcome to watch us during the Finals,but they might be waiting to go indoors later on,if we go all the way.
