2026 Predictions

Think Frothy has been on the frothies.

Claremont not premiership material atm. Subi to finish 3rd would be a massive turn around but reckon they lack the top end talent but are building.

A healthy Freo will see Peel play finals.

I live in hope of the mighty Dees finishing top 3 and playing in consecutive finals for the first time in 48 years. Its been a hard time for this DEE fan,

I reckon you’re partially on the money with Subi TT as imo they do have the top end talent in Clark, Schofield, Mayo, Giro, Borchet, Petruccelle, Jacob Blight, Savigni, Sokol, the Hickmotts…but it’s lack of depth with numbers 10 to 30 on the list struggling to have a consistent impact.

Good sides can lose a couple of top liners and still be competitive but if Subi does the same at the moment, we tend to fall right way.

I think the club made a good move appointing Schofield as coach so expect to see us moving in the right direction as the season goes on.

Cannot see how Peel are not top 2
Cox, Draper, Worner, O’Driscoll, Banfield, Scerri, Ryan, Macdonald, Davies, Simpson, Sweid are all going to be regulars on top of the 10 regulars who can play.
Will be tough to topple

Some of those will play for the seniors at various stages. If you are suggesting that Luke Ryan wont play league then I shake my head.He played with Peel on the weekend. All he is missing is more leg work.He is a given.
Banfield will play more in purple than Teal.
Simpson will spend more time similar.
Warner, O’Driscoll and Draper will fill voids in the league team as well.
Scherri, McDonald, Davies and Sweid will play mostly in Teal.

Pearce and Cox still to return to that backline

With Pearce and Cox coming back first week, out go McDonald and Davies.

That’s my point anchor - heaps of depth now so Peel will be very tough - maybe even top

Expect Subi to play strongly in the first month. After that … matter of depth as others say.
Not sure you’d budge from EP, SF, Peel and CL as your top 4. The fifth spot is up for grabs.

Even allowing for Darcy going around like a busted wheel again.

But to be quite frank, with all due respect to him,his career is heading for the sunset,so set him up for some experience in the Coach’s Box.

See if he takes a shine to that part of Football.
