2024 list

If they’re your own players and it costs one point and no transfer fee, then there’s no harm taking a punt. But 10 points and what I assume would be a decent transfer fee… you can get burned. Not just SD, of course. EP picked up Elijah Taylor, for example. I’m all for giving players who have some issues a chance to redeem themselves, and footy can be a great vehicle for players to get some some discipline and routine, and meet some good people. But, like I say, where it costs money and points, it’s a risk for clubs.

Good luck.

Chasing some status updates on a few players, anyone know any information?

Mitchell Bain gone to South Bunbury (SWFL)?
Brayden Noble?
Jarrod Cameron?

Brayden Noble retired at the end of last season MoM
Can’t help with the other two

Brayden Noble hasnt officially retired yet.
He is currently travelling around Australia with his family, intends on playing the second half of the season as long as his fitness is to standard.

Bain’s clearance to South Bunbury has been refused by Swans according to the SWFL website.
It would be a shame to see him leave Bassendean, but a year if playing league football in the SWFL could be a good thing for him.

Probably because he is a contracted player. They will most likely grant him a permit. If they clear him then another WAFL club can pick him up.

Or he can go to arbitration and, if it goes against him, spit the dummy and refuse to play anywhere.

I thought Bain had a good 2023 season but if he wants to leave why try and keep him?

Bain no longer listed as a Swan Districts player on their website or the WAFL website.

Bain is still appearing on the WAFL website under Swans MoM but yes not on our Swans website!

BH we are talking about the WAFL website, I think they only review it once every couple of months!
